Zoe's Friendship Blog Hop!

Welcome to Zoe's Friendship Blog Hop. If you arrived here from Melissa you are on the right track. If you just happened to stumble on my blog and would like to start at the beginning please click Here.

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our live mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand, this is a true friend that cares. This layout is in honor of My BFF "Sharon"!

When I became ill about four years ago all of our friends walked away from us except for Sharon, she has always been there for me, it doesn't matter how rotten I feel or how miserable I get, I know I can count on her! I don't know if everyone else thought I was going to drop dead or what, but I really needed them and they were no where to be found. ( Don't get me wrong , I do have a wonderful supporting family, but I do need a friend once in awhile)

I found the poem on the Internet and I think it just sums up the way I feel about Sharon.

Sharon and I have so much in common, we both love Bingo, Vegas, good looking guys, shopping, reading and of course are Cricuts! I took this picture one night at Bingo when we were just joking around.
Sharon you are my BFF now and forever! Thanks for being there for me!

I DO LOVE YOU.
Now on to the fun stuff!

Christmas In June! One Down!

Thanks to a couple of the Blogs I follow, I can now say I have my first Christmas Card done and it is only June! Yippee!!

It all started with Linda's Creativity Blog. This weeks challenge is to make a Christmas project to get a head start on one of the busiest seasons of the year.

I also decided to make the card the old school way, with no cricut cuts! This way I could also enter it over at My Creative Time: This weeks challenge, create a cricutless project, following the sketch provided.

I used KC and Company Christmas Paper Pack from last year and some darling Chipboard pieces that I picked up at the Dollar Store. I then added a few snowflake brads and stamped a poem on the inside.
Hope you enjoy!

Good Times! Shine on Me!

When I saw this picture of my Sister Debby's grandsons, I just new I had to scrap it.

The look on Evans face is just priceless!

I used Winni The Pooh and Friends cricut cartridge for the sun and film strip. The face on the sun was stamped with PKS.

I torn the paper and chalked the edges of the water.

The good times and Hot Hot title are chip board pieces from the Dollar Store.

Challenges that I will be entering are the following:

Getting Cricky: Simple Sunday: Shine on Me!

Fantabulous Cricut: Make a project with a sun.

Celebrate the Occasion: Make a project with a sun.

The Paper Variety: Summer has Begun.

Whimsical Wednesday: Fun with Colour

Must include the colours yellow and red .

Today's challenge is all about Birthdays. I decided to make a Center Fold card which is a blast to make and so quick and easy. Instruction for the card can be found at Splitcoast Stampers. I used 3 Birds on Parade for the sweet little bird on the front. All papers were from my scrap bucket. I inked all the edges in a light brown ink, added a bit of ribbon and bling, and now I have a cute little card for when I need it.

My Craft Spot Challenge! Happy Fathers Day to My Sweetie!

I cannot believe it is already Monday, which means it is time for another challenge over at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge #12 is to create a project for fathers day.

I lost my father at a very young age. Dad was truly a great man and father, he was loved by everyone and even though we had very little money growing up he made sure that us three girls had everything that was important in life, especially Love! I have so many fond memories of my Dad and I miss him dearly. He was only 55 when he passed away. My hubby's father is also gone, so my card this week is for my wonderful husband ....... even if the old guy forgot my Birthday!!! That is two years in a row. I could understand if we had only been together for a few years, but we are talking 41 years in October.

I guess he can blame it on old age. LOL!

My card this week is called a Center Step Card, instruction for this card can be found over at Splitcoast Stampers, it was so easy to whip up and I just love the way it turned out! What is even better ........ is all the paper was from my very large scrap bucket.

Both the crinkled ribbon and twine can be purchased at My Craft Spot. Kimberly has so many lovely colours to choose from, in both the ribbon and twine. This week she has added some Beautiful New Ribbon colours to her collections and they look so yummy! How about Old Glory: which includes three great new colours, Cranberry, Vanilla Bean and Navy Blue or the 4th of July collection: Scarlet Red, Snow White and Navy Blue, last but not least she has the new Summer Vacation: collection which is Caribbean, Sandy Beach and Hot Pink! So make sure you pop over to My Craft Spot and check out the newest colours!

The bottom sentiment reads "You make my life sweet" which is from My Craft Spots Sentiment inside and Out Stamp Set which can also be purchased over at My Craft Spot .

Now it is your turn to show us all your wonderful Father Days Projects. Who knows what yummy candy Kimberly will have this week up for grabs .

I am also going to enter this card in the following Challenges:

Whimsical Wednesday #10- Dad's Day

Capturing A Moment of Time- Dad's Day

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you go check out the rest of Kimberly amazing Design Team projects!

Have a great week creating!

Four Challenges! Two page Summer Layout.

I love when I can take a two page layout and work it into a bunch of my favorite challenges! It does take a bit of thinking and planing to make it work, but I always love the finished project.

The first challenge is over at Fantabulous Cricut. This weeks challenge me Monday is "Remember Me", this could be a special person, time, anniversary or just a wonderful memory.

These pictures were taken in July of 2007, it was a beautiful hot summer day and hubby was at work and just out of the blue I decided it would be a good day for a picnic. So I called my daughter in law to see if it would be O.K for me to take the kids for a few hours. I packed up a lunch and went and picked the kids up and took them to a neighbor hood water park. It was a lovely day and we laid the blanket out and went and played for a while, when we came back to the blanket the pigeons were eating the kids lunch right through the baggies! We still managed to have a wonderful time! and all had a good laugh over the silly birds!

The next challenge is another favorite of mine. Whimisical Wednesday, there challenge this week create a tag and add some bling!

The next is Bug Bites Grillin and Chillin Bug hop challenge. If you have not done this hop you should, there is so much wonderful talent to inspire you and then a super fun challenge at the end. Create a project with at least one cricut cut and one of the hidden bug which can be found a long the hop.

For this layout I was able to use up some of my old stash, which is a bonus! My cricut cut is the darling Caterpillar border which was cut at 2 inches from A Walk in My Garden.

I add a few fun buttons to bring in the summer theme a little bit better. These cute pictures are of my Grand daughter Jasmine. She is just so funny. All those really cute water things to run through and she found a pop bottle and played in a puddle. Gotta love them!

For the last challenge, I found another really cool blog hop with many talented ladies, It was the Summer Fun Blog Hop and can be found over at Blessed on the Bright Side you should check it out, once again there was tons of many wonderful summer layout, cards and projects along the way! At the end of this hop there was a challenge for you to create a summer project!
Thank you for stopping by my blog. Hope you enjoyed yourself, have a wonderful week.
