Scrappy Jak's Card of the Month & Fantabulous Cricut Challenge: Falling Leafs

Time to reveal our cards for Scrappy Jak's card of the month club. This month we were asked to use a Fall theme. Each person was given the same material, two card bases, one piece of ribbon and the Die Cut which is from My Creative Time.
For my first card I decided to follow a couple of different challenges and this is what I came up with. The first challenge is Fantabulous Cricut: Leaves are falling: use leafs.
The next is for Bitten By The Bug 2: They asked us to use the Wheelbarrow cut on page 107 from Walk in my Garden Cricut Cartridge. I used my new Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Decorative Strip to make all these beautiful leafs. I tried to give it some  dimension by adding pop up dots every so often. The wonderful sentiment is from Bug Bites All Occasion Stamp Set.
The third contest I am going to enter with this card is at Cricut- the offical Blog for there Word Card Making Day contest. I am going to see if I can win a cuttlebug machine for my daughter in law.
For my next card I decided to make a Thanksgiving Card. Thanksgiving is next weekend here in Canada. So I am really looking forward to biting into some yummy turkey and visiting with all of the family. My turkey is a SVG File that I purchased from Creative Kuts , poor thing looks kinda scared. I added a chopping axe and a caution sign to jazz it up a bit. The sentiment is once again from Bug Bites All Occasion Stamp Set. I will be entering this card in.
Whimsical Wednesday: Anything goes and
Celebrate The Occasion: Any Occasion but you must use ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend.

My Memories Suite Winner!

Just a quick post to announce the winner of My  Memories Suite Give away. But before I do this,  I would like to share a  Fall layout I made last night using this wonderful program.  Fall is such a pretty time of year with all the stunning colours and last year I was lucky enough to round up the kids and their familys and have some family photos taken. The kids were not to happy with me, they all seem to be so busy with their lifes, but I would not take NO! for a answer. After all was said and done I think they were pretty happy with the end results, I know I sure was.
So anyway!
I used Random. org and the lucky winner is
Scrappin Rabbit Designs.
Please email me so I can pass your information on to My Memories Suite and you can start to have some fun with this awesome program!
Have a great week!

My Craft Spot DT Challenge #27

Once again it is time for another fun challenge over at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is to use ribbon somewhere on your project. I have been so busy that I just threw this card together. I am really not sure if I even like it, but I guess everyone feels that way now and then. I used Twinkle Toes Cricut cartridge to cut the fancy oval and then added some beautiful Golden Harvest Crinkled Ribbon that can be purchased over at My Craft Spot. The owl is just a sticker that was purchased at Walmart , the flowers were in a gift package I received from another blogger, I could not believe how they were the perfect match for the Crinkled Ribbon. Behind the owl I added some pretty bling and the sentiment "Just for You" from My Craft Spots Friends & Neighbors Stamp Set! So now it is time for you to head over to My Craft Spot and see what the rest of the DT came up with! Thanks for stopping by and for all your wonderful comments, they really do make my day!

Don't forget you still have time to enter my two give aways.

Disney Pixar Blog Hop Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Official Disney Pixar Blog Hop. First I would like to thank Shawn and Melissa for putting this wonderful blog hop together. If you arrived from Bobbie Jo then you are on the right track. If you are a regular follower of my blog please click HERE to start at the beginning.

I have been very fortunate to have been able to visit Disney Land 3 times and Disney World 2 times, which is pretty darn good since I live in Canada. These pictures were taken on our first trip to Orlando in 2009. For today's project I decided to make a two page layout.

I used three different cartridges for all the cuts:
Disney Pixar
Life a Beach
Pack your bags.

Along the bottom of the page I torn my paper and chalked the edges to give it a nice shimmer, trying to make it look like the bottom of the ocean.

There are 16 different cricut cuts in this layout, not counting the coral. I worked on this for over two weeks and I am just thrilled with the way it turned out.

I just love this cartridge!

The two bottom pictures are tucked in under the sand and I think it makes it look like part of the ocean floor.

Blog Candy Alert! Today I have a set of Disney Cuttlebug embossing folders and a package of 3D Disney stickers for one of my lucky followers. Please leave a comment and I will pick a winner on Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Now it is time to send you off to the amazing talented Jessica Blog

Last summer my sister Debby and her daughter Gillian were lucky enough to be able to go over to Europe for a six weeks vacation, they took so many wonderful photos of their trip and my niece decided for Christmas to have her mother a photo album made of their vacation, what a beautiful gift. Let me tell you it cost a bomb but the memories in this book were worth it! Now for a fraction of the cost and a few hours of my time, I am able to do the same thing and and make my own scrapbooks with my very own memories and better yet, I am giving away one of these programs!!! to one of you lucky Girls!

Paetyn

Here is my very first digital scrapbooking page I would like to share with you, this one I designed on my own and I must say I am tickled pink with the way it turned out!
I know I still have a lot to learn, but I am having a ball doing it! This program does so much more then just make scrapbook layouts. My Craft Spot Happy Harvest Challenge

Today starts a new challenge over at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is all about Happy Harvest! For my project this week I decided to make a wall hanging for my front door.

My project started out with a piece of wood which I picked up at the Dollar Store. I removed the chain and added some beautiful crinkled ribbon from My Craft Spot. Now don't you all agree that the ribbon is much prettier then a silly old chain.I cut my paper to the size I wanted and then added mod podge to the board, then laid the paper over it and put another layer of modge podge over top the paper. Easy peasy! After this was all dry, I sanded the edges and then painted the sides and back of the wood. After this dried, I was ready to rock and roll. I used these darling SVG files called Fall Boy which I purchased from Treasure Box Designs. I just love them and I really do think it looks very harvest looking. Time to bring in the corn and get ready for the long cold winter months to come. I hope you enjoyed today's project. Please make sure you check out the rest of the design teams project, I know they will have something extra special to show you. Looking forward to seeing all your wonderful Happy Harvest Projects.

Have a wonderful week!

Back To School / Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Back to School / Fall Blog Hop". First I would like to thank Sylvia for putting this wonderful Blog Hop together. If you arrived here from Sandy S blog you are on the right track. If you are a regular follower of my blog and just popped in to say hi, please go to the start by clicking HERE so you can see the entire hop from the beginning.

For the hop today I decided to make a two page layout for my youngest grandsons first day of school. I will keep the writing short since I have so many pictures to share. If you have any questions just email me or leave it in the comments and I will get back to you.

Kindergarten tag and First Day of School tag were both cut from Locker Talk Cricut Cartridge.

The ABC tag was cut from Recess Cricut Cartridge.

The School House was cut from Recess Cricut Cartridge.

The Pencil Guy and Big Red (the apple) are SVG File that I purchased from
My Scrap Chick.

The Crayons are really journal tags that were purchased from Michael's. They can be opened up and you can leave little hidden message inside them. They also came with envelopes so you could write little message and send them to school in your kids lunch kits, but I like using them on my layout for tags.

Here we have another hidden tag which I made and then used my computer to print my grandson name, date and school on. I used pop up dots for dimension and two different colours of gel pen to do the faux stitching. I added some apple brads , some cute metal embellishments I found in my stash and some ribbon for the final touches.

Before I forget! I do have blog candy today for one lucky follower, please leave a comment and a way to get in touch with you just in case you are the lucky winner . I will draw the winner for the blog candy on Tuesday.

Blog Candy includes: 20 sheets of 6X6 paper

Paper Bliss accents

Grade School Glitter pop-up embellishments

10 Things I Love About School Pocket

Mini Lunch Box Messages

Metal Rimmed Stickers

Pewter Embellishments

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you have enjoyed everything you saw so far, now it is time to send you off to the amazing Anita.

I will also be entering this layout in the following challenges:

Fantabulous Cricut: Back to School: Use ABC's or 123's on your project

Whimsical Wednesday: Scrapping School Memories with a twist! Use a clipboard element in your layout, which I added clipboard behind my Kindergarten sign to give it extra dimension.
