Hello Kitty Birthday Card

Good morning to all my wonderful Crafty friends and Family. Hope you all had a good weekend and were able to check out Joys Life Inspire me Blog Hop, if I say so myself we all rocked that hop out of the Ball Park. I did have  Blog Candy up for grabs so you might want to check it out Here.
Today it is my turn to post over at Joys Life DT Blog so I decided to make one of these cool Side Step Cards which was the last weeks Fridays freebie cutting file over at  Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.
March for us is filled with Birthday, there are so many it is hard to keep track of them all
especially when you reach my age LOL! So I decided to make a girly card using my Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge. There has to be at least one girls Birthday this month I hope!
For the back step of the card I made a cake and serving tray from Cricuts Sweet Treats cartridge then just added a bunch of stickles to jazz it up.
The next layer are different size presents using scrap paper from my scrap bucket, embossing folder (Swiss Dots) and a little gem.
For the front layer I used a Spell Binder and Joys Life "Yummy Puns" Stamp for the Happy Cake Day sentiment. I just love the way this card turned out and I can see I will be making many more of the side step cards in the near future!

In case you missed it, Joy's new release is available for pre-order!
you can find them HERE
I am also entering this card over at DL Art March Linky Party
So that's it for today! Have a super great Monday and take care!

"Inspired By" Blog Hop!

Welcome to Joys Life  "Inspired By" Blog Hop!
This months blog hop is all about different things that might inspire us!
If you have come from Junes Blog then you are on the right track! If not please start at Joys Blog so you do not miss out on any of the wonderful projects that we have put together for you today.
My project was inspired by 3 different things, that inspire me each and every day as I enter my craft room.
(or as my hubby would say "every waking moment")
When you put all 3 together, you come up with one heck of a good project if I do say so my self!

This is a wooden picture frame that I decided to create which was inspired from a Family Photo taken in 2010.
I first stained the wood then once that was dry I applied Mod Podge and Dino-Roar paper by Imaginisce, then another coat of the Mod Podge.

Both my Family and the beautiful shades of Fall colours our my # 1 reason for the inspiration of today's project.
#2 reason for inspiration would be!
None other then the amazing!
Joy's Life Stamps Sets!
 The "Dino-mite" sentiment
is from Joy's Life "Lots Of Puns"
My #3 reason for inspiration would be my Cricut Machine and all 167 cartridge that are a must have.
All cuts are from my newest Cricut cartridge called "Dino Play" that I picked up on vacation. Finishing touches are embossing (Swiss Dots cuttlebug embossing folder), Glossy Accents for the egg, another coat of Mod Podge and a trip to the Dollar store for the hat that my lovely grand daughter is modeling for the Frame.
Now it is time to send you off to the next stop but before I do how about a little Blog Candy for taking the time to check out my project. Just leave a comment and away to get in touch with you and one of my lucky followers could win the following.

Thanks for stopping bye now it is time to check out what the amazing  Staci. has created for you today.

You're in My Thoughts

Hello and Happy Thursday to all my Crafty Friends and Followers.
Today I have a Sympathy Card to share with you. The card measures 5X5.
Both the swirly pattern and Calla lily were cut with my Cameo using SVG files from Birds Cards.
I added some pretty crinkled ribbon and a button to the front of the card. Both stamps were purchased from Hobby Lobby.
I do find Sympathy cards one of the hardest types of cards to make, so I decided to make a few a head of time so when the time does come and I need one it will be there waiting for me.
I will be entering this card in the following channels.
My Creative Time: Tic Tac Toe
Whimsical Designs: Buttons and Bows
Go Fish Challenge #37 Ribbon

Happy St. Patty's Day! Treat Boxes

Happy St. Patty's Day!
To all my Crafty Friends and Family!
Just a quick post to share some cute little treat boxes I made for the four youngest grand kids.

This is a picture of Katie holding one of the treat boxes. Katie came to spend the night at Grandma and Papa's house and the first thing she wanted to do was scrapbook with Nanny.
( I taught her well LOL! )
I found this SVG file at the Silhouette Store and knew this was going to be just perfect, something that would be fast, quick and easy to whip up.

I think the thing that took the most time was searching for the chocolate Loonies to put inside the boxes.
In Canada we have a gold coin that we call the Loonie instead of the paper dollar bill that my USA friend have.

For the top of the box I used Joys Life Holiday Occasions Stamps for the sentiment and one of the chocolate Loonies to spruce up the four leaf clover.
I will be entering these little boxes in the following challengs:
Little Scrap Pieces- Luck of the Irish
Whimisical Designs-St. Patty's Project
Die Cut Diva's- Green and Gold
As always thanks for stopping bye and have a great week my friends!

Furever Friends Disney Layout

Good morning all my Crafty Friends and Happy Monday!
Today I have another post for Joys Life Design Team.
For the whole month of March the Design Team Girls can make want ever there little heart desires! So want better time to catch up up on my pictures from 2011 and work  on my Disney Album.

The Disney paper is from by EK Sucess( just one of the many items pick up on vacation)
I used Joys Life Lots of Puns for the" Furever Friends" and " Hot Dog" sentiments!

I then added a paw print beside the Hot Dog sentiment and then for the Furever Friends sentiment I made a tag from Tags Bags and More Cricut Cartridge cutting the tag at 3/4 of a inch.
Goofy was cut at 4 inches from Disney and Friends Cricut Cartridge. I also found these cool Mickey buttons and the border punch while on vacation so of course I had to use these on the layout.
So that is it for today's layout. I hope you have enjoyed it and I was able to inspired you to dig out some old photos and make a layout.

Happy St. Partrick's and Pictures of my Shopping Spree!

Good Morning and Happy Monday! It's
time for another post for Joys Life Design Team
As some of you might know Hubby and I have been on vacation for the last month in Arizona and we just arrived home on Friday.
Even though there is no time difference I still came home dead dog tired and the I had to throw this card together real quick so I would have a post for today. LOL!

When we were in Arizona I picked up 8 new cartridges (shame on me) so I had a heck of a time deciding just which new cartridge I would use. I finally decided on the Teddy Bear Cartridge and the card base was purchased from the Silhouette store.
I actually cut the card out twice using a pretty shade of green glitter paper for the front and a contrast green for the inside of the card.

I cut my darling little bear at 4 inches and put it on pop dots.

I used the Happy St. Patrick's sentiment from Joys Life Holiday Occasions Stamps.
I love this set of stamps because there is one for every Occasions which is great for your card making.
I will be entering this card in this weeks callenge over at Bitten By the Bug 2: use a shamrock
and Craftin Desert Diva Link up party!
I am also going to link this card up to My Crafting Channel Teddy Bear Series! This is the 10th bear on The Teddy Bear Parade Cartridge.with this being said there is not much more I can say about the card but I do want to share with you the fun I had shopping at all the cool stores in the USA that we do not have in Canada!

The first thing I am going to do is put all my new goodies away.
I have taken a couple of pictures to show you how sick I am when it comes to shopping for my scrapbooking.

Yes....I am a hoarder when it comes to my hobbies!
Have a great week!
