For toady's project, I decided to make a Christmas layout. I am working on the second page and hopefully will have it done for tomorrows posting. I have both of my grandsons staying with me for a week or two, so I have be spending time with them, cooking ,baking and just doing Grandma things . They are old enough to look after them self's but they like to spend time with us, Adrian is 21 already and Jaime just turned 16. I have no ideal where the time has gone, it just seems like yesterday that I was holding them in my arms.

I picked up this paper by We R Memory Keeper at our local scrapbooking store in a package that had been marked done to $3.33 for 12 sheet called White Christmas Holiday Cheer coordinating paper. Now that is what a call a great deal.

The little gingerbread Doll on the oval frame is from Cottage Cutz , it comes with a unique & Fun Shaped Die and includes 2 clear PKS faces.

The cookie factory house and rolling pin is a SVG files that I purchased at Treasure Box Designs.

I used stickles for the snow to add a bit of glitter.

A little bit of bling for the buttons, and inked all the edges.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday # 69 & Whimsical Wednesday Challenge # 15

If you are looking for Day 2 of the Christmas in July Blog Hop and would like a chance to win a Nursery Tails Cricut Cartridge please click Here and leave a comment. I will be drawing for the prize on July 26th.

I made this cute card for the following two challenges The first challenge is over at Fantaublous Cricut this weeks challenge me Monday #69 is to create a project with a cool treat, and then the next challenge is over at Whimsical Wednesday: Challenge # 15 is create a project using all scraps! So I put my thinking cap on and went through my scraps and this is what I came up with.

All the paper used in this project were from my scrap bucket. You gotta love cards like that. I used my new Cricut Cartridge Sweet Shop to cut this yummy ice cream float at 5.5 inches. I then decided to add a yummy little truffle to sweeten up my treat card, just a wee bit more. I think I gained 10 pounds just making this card and dreaming about how yummy it would taste.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend.

Day 2! Christmas in July Blog Hop!

Welcome to Day 2 of Memories in Time Blog hop! If you arrived here from Lori Blog you are in the right place. If you are a regular follower of my blog and would like to start at the beginning please start at Lynda’s blog.

For today's project I decided to make a Christmas ornament. Another quick and easy gift. I started out with a clear Christmas ornaments which I picked up last year after Christmas for dirt cheap at Michael's. I then added a little bit of floor polish and swirled in around on the inside of the empty bulb , making sure to cover it well then threw out the extra polish in my garbage can. I then added about 1/3 of the bottle of glitter and swirled that around making sure to cover it all, it sticks to the floor polish like glue. Then if there is any extra glitter inside of the ornament I also threw that into the garbage can.

After letting it dry I cut a Cricut head at 3 inches using my Cricut cartridge A Garden of Words using 2 shades of vinyl. This is the first time I layered vinyl so I think with a bit of practice the next one will be better. I then added a bow to the top and there you have another cheap Christmas ideal. Last year I even added the person name, a Christmas greeting and the year on the back of the ornament. A keepsake for years to come. If you do not own a Cricut to cut the vinyl, I found that rub-ons work very well also.

Here is a picture of the blog candy that I will be giving away for this hop. It is a brand new cartridge, but the shell has been removed. I was so excited when I got this cartridge and did not realize it was for the imagine machine, which sadly I do not own.

My Craft Spots DT Christmas In July Challenge!

Time for another fun challenge over at My Craft Spot! This week the Design Team was asked to make a Christmas in July Project.

Christmas is one of my favorite times of year! I love the hustle and bustle, the shopping for the perfect gifts, making all the kids favorite Christmas cookies and having my family around me! I love putting up my three trees and decorating my house from top to bottom!

For my layout I used Christmas Noel to cut the doll out. I think she looks so much like a porcelain doll.

The tag was cut from tag, bag and more and the sweet little mouse is a SVG File I purchased from Precious Piecings. The twine on the tag can be purchased at My Craft Spot in every colour of the rainbow!

The Christmas Tree is also a SVG File I purchased from Precious Piecings.

Here's another shot of my darling little mouse!

The rocking horse, doll and bear were cut from Christmas Noel and the presents were cut from Celebrations. I am going to enter this layout in the challenge over at Simon Says Stamps. I hope you liked my layout and will join us this week in creating a Christmas in July project. Now go take a peek at what my fellow designers have created for you at My Craft Spot.

The Great Outdoors! Banff National Park!

Just last weekend my sons family went camping to Banff National Park for the weekend. I had just picked up this wonderful paper by Imaginisce and thought it would go great with a outdoor theme.

I used Camping Critters to cut the trees and skunks and the ran it through my Cuttlebug embossing folders and inked the edges and then used some pop up dots.

This is a shot of the grand kids rock climbing in the mountains

I cut the tent from Summer Vacation

The fire was cut from create a critter and the moose was cut from Camping critters. This week the challenge over at The Paper Variety is a photo inspiration!

I just love all the bright colours in this photo and this is my take of it.

The second challenge is More than Favors: Wacky Wednesday Challenge: Fun in the sun challenge, what better way to enjoy the sun then camping! Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Merry Christmas! CTO Challenge #22

Last weekend I picked up a few new Cricut Cartridges, well maybe a wee bit more then a few!

One of the cartridges that I did pick up was the new Lacy Labels from Walmart.

For this quick and simple card I used my Gypsy and welded two of the same labels together at 4.50. I am so proud of myself, I now have three Christmas cards already to go, If I keep this up I just might be ready for Christmas.

I am going to enter this card in the challenge over at Celebrate The Occasion. This weeks challenge is to create a Christmas themed shaped card. Thanks for stopping in and have a great week!

Christmas in July (no red) !!! Three Challenges!

Today I have a super fun Christmas card to share with you. This weeks challenge over at both Celebrate the Occasion and The Paper Variety is to create a Christmas in July project! For the challenge at Celebrate the Occasion your project must not have the colour red in it! Boy was this a hard challenge for me, it seemed like every piece of paper I picked up had a bit of red somewhere on it. But after looking through my 1000 and some papers, I found this pretty blue paper from KC and Company I had picked up last year after Christmas for a super cheap price.

For the base of the card I dug out my Wild Card Cartridge and blew the dust off it. It was just one of those cartridges I just had to have when it first came out and then I just never seem to get around to using it. This weeks challenge over at Cricut Cartridge Chaso is to use the Wild Card cartridge which was picked by the followers. Over the weekend I stumbled upon another awesome blog that just happened to be having a blog hop over at Scrapmaster's Paradise. At the end of the hop you can enter your own blue project so I thought this would be fun one to enter also.

So I thought this would work out great .......four challenges for the price of one. I first cut the envelope out and used the fit to page button and it cut at 5 inches. So then I knew my card also had to be 5 inches to fit in the envelope. Earlier this week I had purchased this darling SVG file for the Elf from Precious Piecings and was just dyeing to try it out. After putting the little guy together I placed him on a action wobble. OMG! I just had to laugh...he is just so darn cute! The card still seem to be missing something so I looked through all my stash and found these white pointseta by Making Memories and used some stickles to finish the card it off. I just love this little guy I did a very short video just to show you him in action. Have a great week and thanks for stopping bye!

You are My Sunshine Layout for My Craft Spot Challenge!

Time for another fun challenge over at My Craft Spot! This weeks challenge is to create a project showing us some Sunny Days ( anything that reminds you of summer). I decided to use the sketch from this weeks challenge at The Paper Variety. I love using sketches when I am having scrapbookers block!

I used KC & Company paper and a few odds and ends from my scrap bucket. I used my H20 Cricut cartridge for the pool and sea horse.

This adorable little girl is a SVG file that I purchased from Precious Piecings. When I saw this little girl I just had to have it, it looks so much like my sweet grand daughter Jasmine! Then I decided to add a button that was shaped like a popsicle to her cute little hand.

This picture is of my three beautiful grand daughters and they are not only sisters, but very best friends. So I used a rub on and a little clipboard piece I had tucked away in my stash to make the Girlfriends title.

The stamp in the middle of the sun, which reads
"You are my sunshine" is from My Craft Spot inside and out Sentiments Stamp Set, and
the sun was cut from my Life is a Beach Cricut Cartridge.

Finishing touches on the layout were glitter gel pen, ink around all the edges, some Stickles which I added to the sun and a bit of embossing.

I am also going to enter this layout over at Getting Cricky with K.C. Andrew Simply Sunday challenge: Summer Fun!

and also FCCB Challenge Me Monday #67: Pool Time

So now it is your turn to show us your wonderful Sunny Days projects and have a chance to win some yummy candy over at My Craft Spot.

Happy Canada Day! And Winner from Zoe's Friendship Blog Hop.

Just a quick post to wish my fellow Canadians a Happy Canada Day and to share the center piece I made for the table in honor of Canada's 144 Birthday.

This year I was lucky enough to have my kids over for supper , so I decided to whip this together late last night for the grand kids!

You should of seen Joshua, our youngest when he laid his eyes on it ...... he was right up on the table! I could not believe the reaction I got from the kids. They were just so excited!

This is the cake my hubby decided he was going to make, I could not believe it when Alf said he was going to bake a cake, Alf cannot even boil water! I know it doesn't look the greatest but oh my goodness it sure tasted yummy!

Last, I would like to share this picture of three of the grand kids waving their flags! and of course my beautiful daughter Christy, who is just waiting to cut into the cake.

I will be entering this project into the Happy Canada Day Blog hop. After finishing the hop they have asked us to make a Canadian Themed project . If you would like to see a bunch of great projects and have a chance to win some yummy blog candy the hop begins Here.
