Monkeying Around! Bear Hugs Design Team Post. and Weekly Freebie.

Today I have a quick card that I made using Bear Hugs Art and Scraps Monkey Business cutting files. I really didn't know which file I wanted to play with this week. But this cute little monkey just won my heart!
I used a stamp for the sentiment and think it goes perfect with it.
I added a button that looks like bananas to spice it up a bit!.
and don't forget to go over to Bear Hugs Art and Scraps to get this cute free cutting file!
I will be entering this card over at Monica's Creative Madness for her newest challenge which was to create a project with a cupcake. Thanks for popping bye. Have a great week.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday! Wedding Bliss!

Hello my Crafty friends. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I just wanted to stop by and show you a card I made for a couple of challenges going on right now.
The first being Fantabulous Cricut Blog: Wedding Bliss
Make a project for the happy couple (wedding or anniversary)
I decided on a Anniversary card.
For the card base a used a free file from  Monica's Creative Room. This card is called a gate fold and I just love all the detail cuts in it. If you are looking for it it is card #16.
The beautiful detailed hearts on the front of the card were cut from Wedding Cricut Cartridge at 2 inches. I used a pretty pink shimmer paper which does not show up in the pictures.
For the Happy Anniversary I used Martha Stewart Elegant Cakes Cricut Cartrige and cut it at 1.5 inches.
Final touches were a bit of chalking around the edges of the card, some pretty heart brads and a heart charm.
I am also going to enter the card over at D.L. Art: Wedding or Anniversary challenge.
As always thanks for stopping bye, have a great weekend.

Gone To The Beach!

Last year when we were in Hawaii we came across this store with full life size bears. I couldn't help but want to get our picture taken with them to show the grand kids . I have never seen such large bears, my hubby is 5'7 and I am 5'5 and we are standing up tall and straight. At the time I didn't know I was going to be part of Bear Hugs Design Team and when Karel came out with these files I knew just which picture I was going to work with. I just love the way it turned out and I am already thinking about page two.

The layout itself was super fast to throw together, using paper that I had gotten about eight years ago.
I wanted to tie in the bright colours of the umbrella and came across some more old paper which I had picked up in Hawaii over five years ago but  thought was to busy to use as a background so just added a small amount to tie everything together. The Bears are from Bear Hugs by Art and Scraps Beach Babes
The Lei is from the Dollar store which I just cut in half and used for both bears.

I am going to enter this layout in the following challenges:
Creative Cutter Room: Summer Fun
Die Cut Diva's: Summer Fun
Getting Cricky with K Andrew: Summer Celebration
Cardz TV: Anything goes
As always my crafty friends thanks for stopping bye and leaving me some love. Have a Great weekend.

Families Rock! Day 4 and 5 of The Paper Doll Teen Scene Challenge and Give Away!

Hello my crafty friends, today I have finished up my last two dolls for Renee's Teen Scene Challenge.and give away. It has been so much fun playing with these paper dolls, it took me back to when I was a Young girl. My hubby even said to me "now I know why you like scrapbooking so much it like playing with dolls"and you always have been a kid at heart".

 So here are the boys!
This is Alex, I added a skate board to his page and a little tag that was from Groovy Times cartridge.
I created the title Families Rock with my Cameo thinking my granddaughter could add pictures of her cousins.
The second and last fellow is called Tyler.
Like I said this was such a fun challenge and you still have time to join in on the fun. Just go over to Renee's blog at I came, I saw, I created and check it out. The give away is open until Saturday so you still have time.
Sorry the pictures are not the greatest but the sun had gone down and I really wanted to get these on tonight and start on my next project.
So as always thank you for stopping bye and leaving me such lovely comments. Have a great week!
