What a night I had last night! Around super time my sister Debby called and told me my Uncle had passed away, he had just lost his wife five weeks ago and after 80 years of marriage he just didn't want to go on without her. Then she gave me a little bit more bad news , but I won't go into it at this time. So needless to say no matter what I did I could not get to sleep, so finally at midnight I just said to heck with it and went to my scraproom to try and get my mind off of it. I really do feel that scrapbooking is great therapy and I really needed some last night. So here we are it is 4:00 PM and still no sleep but I did create a great layout for both this weeks DT project for Bear Hugs Paper Piecing face book fan page.
I created this layout of my grandson Joshua for a couple of my favorite challenges using two of the past freebies over at Bear Hugs by Art and Scraps. Both bears are still available for only $1.00 each.
The first Challenge is this sketch over at Lets Get Sketchy, they always have such great sketches which makes it easy to play along.
Next I wanted to use the colours for this weeks colour challenge over at I came, I saw, I created and of course I couldn't forget Fantabulous Cricut Challenge me Monday - this weeks challenge make a project using red plus anything that makes you think of Memorial Day. Well since I am Canadian and we do not celebrate Memorial Day, this does not mean I do not know what it stands for. So I decided to use these colours along with the star paper and these past freebies from Bear Hugs to show that all military are angels no matter if they are from Canada or the United States. They do make us proud!
I used a shimmer paper for the clouds and inked all the edges.
I then added a few pop up dots to give the layout some dimension.
The title "Heaven Sent" was cut from Cricut Lite cartridge 9 months, but I didn't like the cloud so I cut it off and used Pooh and Friends for my clouds.
I used two different embossing folders for the layout and the final touch was some pretty red ribbon.
I also wanted to let you know that there is still time to head over to Bear Hugs and pick up this week freebie.
Once again my crafty friends thanks for stopping bye and leaving me a bit of love. Have a great weekend.
All's good - she said she has some "tough guardian angels" . Your little angels are really cute - this is a really sweet layout. What does Josh have all over his face? He's so cute!
ReplyDeleteSilly me I forgot to mention his face! Mashed potatoes, it was Thanksgiving supper! LOL! He loves his food.
