Happy New Years!
To all my Craft Friends!
This will be my first post for 2013 with Joys Life Design Team.
This week the girls were ask to make a project using something new.
Well, all you have to do is look around my craft room and you will see I have so many things that are still in there original packages. I didn't even have to go shopping for this one. LOL!
Just after Cricut released Pirates and Mermaids I was online ordering it.
It was one of those things I just had to have!
So I blew the dust off the package and cut it open and away I went.
We have four younger grand kids that count how many gifts they get and since we bought Jasmine a bike we had to limit her gifts to just the one.
So I went to the Dollar Store and picked up a bunch of small gifts to go with the clues and this way she would not feel left out and think we didn't love her.
Writing the clues was a real challenge but the kids had so much fun playing, it was worth all the work I put into this project.
I used two different sets of Joys Life Stamps
The clues were typed on card stock and then cut into tags that looked like mapsI added the sentiments from Joys Life Stamps.
Once all the clues and the tag maps were make it was time to wrap the little gifts.
I used brown postal paper which I wrinkled up and distress with ink so it would look old. I then tied it with twine and attached the tags with there clues to the packages.
I had Jasmine running from one room to the next, up and down the stairs. Once she was upstairs for the last time, Hubby put the Bike under the Christmas Tree for the final treasure!
This game turned out to be so much fun! It really was the highlight of Christmas Eve, all the grand kids had such a great time searching for the clues.
This is a picture of Jasmine opening one of her treasures, which was hidden in my scrap room.
I will be entering this in this weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut: this weeks challenge- Tag it .
and D.L. Art January Linky Party- Anything goes
FYI, we went over to visit the kids yesterday and the first thing Jasmine did was run and get her hat and clues. I guess she has been playing pirate hunt ever since Christmas.
