Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday #99

Yep, it is that time again...time for another fun challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut! I just love when I can find time to play along with their challenges. I think it was the first challenge blog I ever entered one of my projects into. This week the challenge is called "Fancy Trim" Use fabric, lace, or other trims on your project.

I decided to make another card this time using Forever Young cartridge for my hat cutting it at 3 inches. I then inked the edges and added a bit of bling.

On the front of the card I added a border with my Martha Stewart punch then added to rows of lace.

The sentiment is from My Craft Spot the stampt set is called Friends and Neighbors Inside and Out.  I hope you have enjoyed today's project. Thanks for stopping bye.

Happy Everything!

When we were growing up as kids we had so many wonderful  pets, everything from birds, rabbits, cats, dogs and even a pig named Petuna.

This weeks challenge over at Paper Playtime "Say it with a Sentiment Challenge" is to use a image of a animal along with a sentiment.
With Easter just around the corner I decided on this cute little bunny cut from Cricut lite Four Legged Friends.

All papers used were just from my scrap bucket. I inked around the edges and popped my bunny up on a few pop up for dimension and used this darling sentiment, Happy Everything!
I am also going to enter this card over at CardzTV: this weeks challenge "Anything Goes"
As always thanks for stopping bye and hope you have a great weekend!

BRRRR! Baby it's Cold Outside!

Today I have another 12 X 12 layout for you following another wonderful sketch that I found over at Colourful Creations.
This is the sketch for challenge #4, and here is my take on it!

I used Stretch Your Imagination for the snowman cut, this is not one of my favorite cartridges, but since I had made a promise to myself to use all my cartridges this year I thought this would be a good time to get this one out of the way, since I needed something very tall and skinny for the side of the page!

I added black Buttons Brads for his eyes and mouth and used a shinny hot pink glimmer paper for the top hat and scarf to match my granddaughter Katie's winter coat.

Both the title and snowflakes were cut from Winter Woodland, I then added blue glitter to my snowflakes and put a  snowflake brad in the middle.

This picture is from last year when it never seemed to stop snowing. We had no where to put the white stuff by the end of winter, we have pictures showing the snow banks as tall as my daughter. I was never so glad to see a winter come to a end as I was then! But I must admit..it makes good scrapbooking pages!!!!
I am also going to enter this layout in the challenge over at Frosted Designs: This weeks challenge is to use Brads.
Next challenge is for Getting Scrappy Challenge
This weeks challenge is for the love of Bling!
As always my Crafty friends, thanks for stopping bye and leaving me some love...your comments really do inspire me to keep on creating. Have a great week!

Cooking With Cricut Birthday Challenge #74

This weeks challenge over at  Cooking with Cricut is a Birthday theme. For my project I decided to dig out my Birthday Bash Cartridge and blow off the dust! I cannot remember when I bought it, but it is the first time I have used it. What a great cartridge this is, just filled with cute little birthday cuts.
My project today is another 12X12 layout.
The paper is just something I picked up at the Dollar Store last year, because I love the way it glitters.
Part of the challenge was to add a cake, balloons or cupcakes. Well my paper has the cupcakes so I decided to add the balloons and then of course I decided to keep on going and added a few more cuts.
This is a picture of my Baby sisters granddaughter. I know it looks like a Christmas pictured but really it is her 3rd Birthday which we just celebrated this year. So thats my project for today, make sure you head over to Cooking with Cricut and check out what the rest of the design team has cooked up this week. Thanks for stopping in and leaving me some love.

Stair Step Birthday Card

Welcome my Crafty friends. Today I have decided to make a Stair Step card for a couple of really cool challenges going on right now. I love when a can take one project and work my magic and have it work for more then one. It does take a lot of thought but I am always so happy with the end results!
So it all started with a new Challenge Blog called Krafty Girls, their challenge this week is called Home Sweet Home, create a project based on a country, state, city or town. While I am from Canada, so my little Beaver is carry a Canadian Flag on his way to work. In Alberta we have lots of forest and mountains and the Beaver is our animal symbol and also on the back of our nickle.
The next challenge is for Birthday Sundays they have challenged us to make a Stair Step card. I must admit I do love this shape card it is one of my favorites. Next is CardzTV their challenge is a Stitch in Time. Use faux Sticthing along with any cartridge and colours.
The Beaver and trees were cut from Camping Critters, the sun was from Phooh and Friends and the mountains were from Everyday Dress up Dolls. As always thanks for stopping in and leaving me some love. Your comments really do make my day.

Your Friendship Warms My Heart!

Hello my Crafty friends, I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend ! Today I am so happy to be a guest designer for My Sheri Crafts. I was tickled pink when asked if I would like to take part in this weeks challenge which is called " Warm Wishes"
For today's project I decided to make a card for my Bestie!
Isn't this just the cutest SVG ever? I purchased it from Treasure Box Designs last year. The SVG is part of the Xmas Village set called Cocoa Cafe.
All the papers were from my scrap bucket, I tried only to pick out warm and rich colours to go along with the theme of the challenge. I then inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Ink, put it all together and added a few pop up dots to give it some dimension. The stamp is from a old set of stampin up stamps. I used a Martha Stewart punch for a little added decoration and just like that I have a sweet little card to give to my BFF if she ever gets back from vacation! As always thanks for stopping bye, have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to pop over to My Sheri Crafts and join in the challenge.
I am also going to enter this card over at Fantabulous Cricut. There challenge this week is fun with puns.

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #73

Good Morning my Crafty friends. This weeks challenge over at Cooking with Cricut is a Sketch challenge plus pick 3.
This is a picture of the sketch we were asked to follow.

I decided to make two Easter cards for the challenge with matching envelopes.

My pick 3 for this card were border punch, ribbon, ink and my cricut cut was the rabbit from Easter 2010.
The second card I used a different border punch, ink, chalk and both Easter 2010 and Twinkle Toes Cricut Cartridges for the cuts.
I am trying to use all of my cartridge at least once this year, so I have a long ways to go. I have a silly habit of buying them and then using the same ones over and over again, so this year I am keeping a record and my challenge to myself is to use all 148 at least once, so please wish me luck, I have a heck of a long ways to go!
As always thanks for stopping bye, have a great week and I hope you have time to join in the fun at Cooking with Cricut.

Cooking With Cricuts Love is in The Air Blog Hop

Welcome to Paper Crafting World and Cooking With Cricut "Love is in the Air" blog Hop. If you arrived from Nita's  at Nita's Notes you are on the right track. If your joining us mid-hop and would like to start at the beginning please click Here  to go to Paper Crafting Worlds Cooking with Cricut Blog and check out what Melin has made!
Today's hop is all about Love ( your favorite love song and valentine themed)
Although Elvis Presley has been gone for well over thirty years, it feels as if he never left. His music and image continue to be a vital part of the world’s popular culture. "Burning Love" is a song written by Dennis Linde and made famous by Elvis Presley in 1972.
The songs lyrics go like this:
Lord Almighty, I feel my temperature rising!
(and boy oh boy it sure was for these pictures!)
My layout today is for all Elvis fans and any one that likes to have a bit of fun!
This may not be my favorite Love song but it sure does match today's layout.
(don't we look happy?)
This picture was taken  just inside of the Excalibur Casino in Las Vegas in 2010. My daughter Christy and I decided to go away for a couple days rest and some well needed bonding time. We were on our way to a dinner show when these two hunks came along and talked us into getting our pictures taken with them. We had so much fun, I never laughed so hard, that my belly hurt, I must have turned a thousand shades of red, but it is a memory I will remember for a very long long time to come.
For this 12X12 layout I followed a old sketch from StuckOnU
The chocolates were cut from Cricuts  Everyday Pop up Cards at 2.5 inches. I used  Say it with a Smirk 12X12 glitter and foil effect designer pack, along with Bo-Bunnys card stock. I just love all the little sayings and thought it would go perfect with the picture, chocolates and cute looking guys. What more could a girl want?
We hope you’ll join us and link up your favorite love song inspired project at CookingWithCricut. One lucky entry will be chosen by random.org to win a $10.00 gift certificate provided by PaperCraftingWorld.com! And make sure you leave a comment, too! One lucky commenter will also receive a $10.00 PaperCraftingWorld.com gift certificate!
I also will be giving my own Blog Candy to one of my lucky followers. Just leave a comment and I will pick a winner on Wednesday.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project and as always thanks for hopping with us.
Now it is time to send you off to the amazing talented Jill's blog to see what she has created for you today.

Cooking With Cricut "Go Canada" Cartridge Showcase

Hello my crafty followers. Today I am going to showcase this amazing cartridge called " Go Canada"  I was so excited when I saw that Cricut was coming out with this cartridge. As soon as it was released back in Oct, the hunt was on....this was a must have!
Yes......I am Canadian Eh!
Here our a few projects I came up with:

For my first project today I have a Diagonal Double Pocket card which you can find the instruction for at Splitcoaststampers.
As soon as I saw the coffee and donut cut it reminded me of our famous Tim Horton's Coffee Shop which you can find all over Canada serving the best coffee and donuts and delicious little timbits, so I added a gift card to my project since everyone love Timmys!!!

My second project I decided on a gift box which I added maple cookies to. Again instruction can be found at Splitcoaststampers for the box, I used both the maple tree and syrup cuts from this cartridge.
Canada is well know for it maple syrup....... Once you taste the real Canadian Maple Syrup, you will be hooked for life.

Next I have a 12X12 layout using a few more of the great cuts from this cartridge. I have used the Canadian flag to make it into a hidden journal tag with my Gypsy. This is my nephews son waving the Canadian flag in front of Canada House in Banff Alberta on Canada Day 2007. Canada is known for its vast forests and mountain ranges and the animals that reside within them, such as moose, beaver, grizzly, geese and the common Loon.

Last is another 12X12 layout, this time showing the province where I live, which is Alberta along with our Canadian Beaver which is our National Animal Symbol, toques and again my nephews son enjoying some real fine Canadian Bacon.

Provo craft did a wonderful job when designing this cartridges....I just love it and think everyone should run out and get it.
Canadian or not!
I am going to enter the layouts into this weeks challenge over at Getting Scrappy: this weeks challenge  is for the love of chocolate, scrap about chocolate or use chocolate supplies (twine, ribbon, paper etc.)
Thank you for stopping by my blog and checking out my showcase!
