Welcome Spring!

Today we actually hit 5 degrees and the snow has finally started to melt. Do I smell Spring in the air or is it just my darling little Skunk ? This week I noticed so many challenges that involved spring and I remembered taking this picture of my Granddaughter in 2008 and knew this was the one I was going to scrapbook.

I wish the pictures had turned out better, but soon I will be able to take them outside again and I won't have to be so disappointed.

I won this darling little skunk SVG file a couple of weeks ago on Cooking With Cricut and the butterfly is also a SVG from them.

Cricut Cartridges used for the layout were: Twinkle Toes, Storybook and April Showers.

I added some bling and wooded flowers I found in my stash from many moons ago.

Challenges I am entering this layout are listed below:

The Paper Variety 1-2-3 Challenge

My Recipe: 1 Butterfly 2 Svg Files and 3 flowers.

Scrapbookaholic by Abby: Challenge #2: Anything Spring

Happy Birthday! Fantabulous Cricut

Wow, I have been under the weather for the last three weeks, but I was finally able to get down stairs to get a card made for a couple of the challenges.

I used heat embossing for the stamped girl, something that I haven't done for a very long time. I cut the circle with my new Spellbinders and my Cuttlebug.
The bee was from my newest cartridge! Kate's ABC's, I was just so excited to get my hands on this cartridge! I live in Canada, so we do not have Joann's here so when I saw it for sale on Kijjii...I jumped right on it! I then cut the oval at 5.50 inches from my Storybook cartridge. All the paper were just scraps from my left overs. I used some pop up dots for dimension and a lot of bling....maybe a little to much bling, but what the heck!

Challenges I will enter this card in:

Fantabulous Cricut: Happy Birthday Robin

The Cuttlebug Spot: Buttons...Buttons - every where!

365 Day Card: Day 27 Super Sketch Sunday

Bug Bites: Verry first buggie challenge!

Creative Sisters: Monday Challenge#4- use punches

Oh and by the way!
Vegas was never the same after we were done with it!

Winner! & Envelopes Mini Album with Butterfly Shaped Hinges!

I found the tutorial for this lovely album over at The Paper Trail way back in November, and I finally got around to making it. This was so much fun and easy! To think I made it with a package of envelopes and a few pieces of paper and card stock all from the dollar store.

All the papers have a pretty glitter to it which just is not showing up in the pictures. No matter what I did, I just could not get good shots of the album.

The butterflies were all cut with the Cricut Sernade Cartridge.

Each page has two tags and the a pull out page for photos.

Challenges I will enter the album in are:

Getting Cricky with K Andrew Designs: Simply Sunday Challenge

Crop Stop Challenge #10: Spring is in the air.

For this weeks challenge you are to use Butterflies and flowers.

Cutie Patootie Peeping Lamb! My First SVG Layout!

About a month ago I was one of the lucky winners from the Cricky Across The 50 Blog Hop. When I saw my name was picked, I was doing the Happy Dance !

Oh Boy what did I win???

I could not believe my eyes......

Yep!

for
Sure Cuts A Lot

So needless to say I have been spending a lot of time on the computer, watching videos and just playing around with the program. It may take me a while, but I will figure it out.

On the weekend, I came across the Cutie Patootie Blog Hop and by the time I finished it, I was determined I would do my first layout.

Along the Hop I came across a couple of free SVG files, which of course I had to download.

The first was the Cutie Patootie from Melin over at Paper Crafting World

and the next one was this darling little sheep from Tricia over at Little Scraps Of Heaven Design.

The tag was cut from Twinkle Toes at 3 inches.

I also used Stickles, a white gel pen, and used both ink and chalk on all the edges.

The clock and Nap time are both rub- ons.
I then added a few buttons, flowers ,charms and a little birth certificate I found in my stash

I just love the way this layout came together!

I love my new Sure Cuts A Lot (program)

and I just have to thank everyone for having such yummy freebie for us to try.

Sugar & Spice With Alot Of Nice!

This sweet little girl is my baby sisters ONE AND ONLY granddaughter, she is such a monkey and just as smart as a whip. When I saw this picture, I just knew I had to do a scrap booking page. I just love the way it turned out! I think I will go to Michael's and get a Shadowbox frame and then give it to my sister, just to say I love you Sis! and thanks for not only being my sister but my friend!

I really had fun with this layout, trying to make it girly, yet elegant. I used Storybook cartridge for the journal box, and then I found these beautiful metal letters that I had picked up about five years ago, tucked away among all my treasures.

I added lace around the edges, and then made the pin with just a sewing pin and beads.

Challenges this layout will be entered are:

The Cuttlebug Spot: Ouch! Pins

Frosted Designs: This weeks recipe challenge
3 pattern papers
2 fonts
1 journal tag
Getting Cricky: Sugar & Spice with alot of nice!

Thank you to all my followers for all the lovely comments you leave me, I do read each and everyone of them.
Hugs Jenny
