Just a quick post so I can get this into the Bug Hop challenge before it is to late!

I left this one right to the last minute. I made this card for the Grillin & Chillin challenge over at Bug Bites.

Project must include at least one cricut cut ( clouds and sun) and one hidden critter!

Hope you enjoy!

My Craft Spots Mondays Challenge #10: Cute Critters!

It's time for another fun challenge over at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is:

Cute Critters!

I think my Granddaughter Jasmine is a cutie and I also thought this would be the perfect picture for this challenge! If you look in the background of the picture, you will see many cute little critters in one of my many flower beds.
Yes! I have a addiction to garden ornaments, which is just about as bad as my Scrap booking addiction!

The matting and background papers are both from Bo Bunny. The Birds and Branches are a SVG File which I picked up for a couple of bucks a few months back, but I will be darned if I can remember which blog I purchased it from. ( Who says I am getting old! )

If anyone knows who created this daring file please let me know so credit can be given where it belongs.

I picked up the flowers and charms from the Buck or Two Store. Then a used button brads for the center of the flowers.

I cut the tag at 4 inches from Tags Bags and More Cricut Cartridge. I inked all the edges, then added some ribbon and twine.
I used Sweet Sentiments #2 ( which you can purchase at My Craft Spot )

Now it is your turn to see what you can come up with for this weeks challenge! Head on over to My Craft Spot and check out the other girls amazing projects! This weeks prize: All 11 Brand New Colours of Baker Twine from the Twinery!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week.

Grillin' & Chillin' Bug Hop!

Welcome to BugBites first ever Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop!
To celebrate the beginning of summer, Barb over at BugBites is hosting two consecutive weekends of Bug Hops.
This weekend it is all about the Grillin’, May 28-30.
If you've come from visiting Barb, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop, click HERE to start from the beginning.
Each designer along the bug trail is featuring a project based on the Grillin’ & Chillin’ theme. What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at BugBites for a chance to win a Big Prize.
But, there’s a twist. Your project must included at least one Cricut cut and at least one of the critters that have been hidden within some of the bug stop blogs. Be sure to visit all the bug stops to find all your critter choices.
While you are looking for the critters, be sure to check out the blog candy that each designer has to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!

For my project I decided to make a two page layout, from one of the many summer gathering we had last year.

When I was in Florida in January I was able to pick up the Cricut Cartridge Block Party for a really good price. Most of the cuts for this layouts were cut from it.

The beer tub was cut from Country life the ovals were from George and Basic Shapes.

The bottles and ants are both brads ( which will be part of the blog candy)

I used my Cri-Kits Gel pen, and also inked the edges.

The beach ball is from Life a Beach and I added glitter.

The grass was cut from Zooballo and the font from ?

Now for the fun stuff! BLOG CANDY!

One lucky follower with win these BBQ items to make your own page. Please leave a comment and a way to get in touch with you. I know my last winner didn't and I still have not heard from her.
But Wait!

there's more!
On May 24th my blog was one years old so it is time to celebrate! So with this being said.....I will take all the comments from this hop and all the comments from the Nicoletts Birthday Bash Hop that I am also in on June 1st, put the two sets of comments together and draw 1 lucky winner to win a Paper Doll Dressup Cricut Cartridge.

So if you comment on both hops, it will give you two chances!

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #7: Friends Forever!

This weeks challenge at Whimsical Wednesday is Back to Basic! Make a cricutless card or project! and include something old school. I used printed images which I cut out and then pop up using pop ups for dimension. I think I picked this up about 8 years ago at one of the Scrap Booking Stores and I forgot I even had it.

I had these great photos of my grand kids from my Hubby's Birthday from a couple of years ago and decided it was time to get them scrapped. These are my sons four children.

The papers was a deal I picked up at Costco many moons ago and I think I could live to be 110 and never even make a dint in the box.

I do love Costco!

I did a bit of paper tearing and chalking to finish the edges off, added a few brads and then found the sayings on the computer and just printed them off.

I love that saying Sisters by chance Friends forever........but I should tell you that little guy is my grandson with those big beautiful eyes.

As always thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #60: Elderly People!

This picture was taken in Haddenham England in 2006. This is my brother in law Ian...... and if you can believe it, this sign is for real. Well, Ian is going to celebrate his 65Th birthday on May 21st. So I thought I had better get cracking and make him a Birthday card.

So this is what I came up with!

Ready to get into shape?

This weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut.
is to use not just one shape....but two. You must use a triangle and a rectangle.
Next challenge I will enter is Creative Sisters Monday Challenge #8:

anything Birthday.

The card is 5X5. This awesome twine can be purchased from My Craft Spot.

Cricut cartridges used were: Disney Cars and George and Basic Shapes
I found the verse on the internet and used my printer and white cardstock.

I sure hope Ian likes the card, and finds the humor in it!
Happy Birthday Ian and here's to another 65!

My Craft Spot Challenge # 8: Congratulations!

It's Design Team Day over at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge #8 is Congratulations. My nephews wife is expecting their first baby so I decided to make a card for them. I used Bo Bunny paper and My Craft Spot Sentiments inside and out stamps set #2 which I totally love because you can then finish the inside of your card off within seconds! I used New Arrivals and cut the pregnant lady at 4 inches.

For the card base I used my gypsy and welded two circles together from George and Basic shapes cutting them at 7 1/4 inches. The top layer of the card is from Mini Monograms cut at 6.75. I love this cut because then I was then able to run some pretty Spring Time Moss Crinkled Ribbon around the card and tie a pretty bow. ( which can be purchased over at My Craft Spot )

The happy couple do not know the sex of the baby yet, so I used Doodlecharms to cute these darling little faces at 2 inches and then finished them off with PKS. All edges were chalked and finished by using my faithful glitter pens. I hope you enjoyed todays card and will head over to My Craft Spot and see what the other great Design Team members came up with and then join in the fun and have a chance to win another awesome gift from My Crafy Spot!

I love when I make a card that I also can enter into some of my favorite challenges! The first challenge is Whimsical Wednesday: Take Shape.
Next is: My Creative Time!
for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge.

use the colour blue and Cricuts Doodlecharm Cartridge.

Disney Blog Hop! 101 Dalmatians Layout

Welcome to the Disney Blog Hop. Today we've created some amazing projects that will hopefully inspire you to create your own Disney memories.

If you arrived from Sandra's Blog you are in the right spot. If you are just visiting my blog and would like to start at the beginning please click HERE.

The original 101 Dalmatians was first shown in theaters in 1961. I remember going to the old Paramount Theater here in Edmonton as a young girl with my older sister Debby to see this show for the first time. I also remember loving every minute of it and coming home wanting a puppy so badly!

I found these wonderful Free SVG Files of the 101 Dalmatians over at Mardenz. If you have not visited this blog you are really missing something. If you like Disney...it is a must SEE!

I could not decide which picture I wanted to use, so I left it empty for now. I used the cutest paw print brads, outlined the frame with white gel pen, added a dog bone button and a Good Dog Tag.

In this picture you can see a better shot of the bone and dog.

I used my Gypsy and a couple of different shapes to make the arrow and also outlined it with the gel pen. Isn't that Dalmatian cute????
I decided to continue with the theme of todays dog project and give away some cute Dog Scrap booking items to one lucky follower. Please leave a comment with a way for me to get in touch with you.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Now it is time to send you off to the amazing talented Becka Blog. Have a great weekend my friends!

My Fravorite Cartridge Project & A New Challenge

First I have to tell you about this awesome challenge I found over at Bugjuiced with Debbie. She is giving one lucky winner a Cri-Kits Embossing Kit plus a surprise gift from herself. Maybe I should be keeping this challenge a secret so I have a better chance at winning, but l have never been good at this and besides I love my followers and would like you to have a chance at this awesome prize also!

So for this challenge all you need to do is use your favorite cartridge. Easy Right? Well not for me...all my cartridges are my favorite! Heck I have cartridges still in the packages, but these too are my favorite.

So I put my thinking cap on and decided I would do the second page to my Spring Fever Layout which you can find HERE. Talking about SPRING......I am also going to enter the layout in this weeks challenge over at Cooking with Cricut: Spring Flowers. And yes also Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #58 Flower Shower! Make a card with at least 3 flowers ( if you look up at the Bee she has a bee on her crown)

I used Kate's ABC's and A Garden of words for the layout. I just love Kate's Abc's and since I live in Canada it was a real hard one to get, so yes, it will be this weeks favorite! LOL. I also used a couple of SVG Files for the layout. The Daisy was a freebie from Cooking with Cricut and the Skunk was purchased from Precious Piecing.

I inked all the edges and used gel pen to add the final touches. Here are a few more pictures of the layout.
The Bee is from Kate's ABC's, cut at 3 inches, and this beautiful little girl is my grand daughter Katie!
OH....I just about forgot the grass was cut from Zooballo at 2 inches.
So as always my friend thanks for stopping by, have a lovely week and don't forget to check out Debbie's Awesome Challenge!!!

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #6 Mothers Day

It's Monday and time for My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #6
This weeks challenge is Mothers Day and

Kimberly is giving away a awesome prize to the winner.

Please stop over to her blog and check it out.

Here is my project for this weeks challenge.

My Mother was my Best Friend!
Not a day goes by that I do not think about her .

Before she passed away I decided to made a Scrapbook of her life for a Christmas
present. It turned out to be two binder full, and she just cherished it.
It started out with her Grandparents, before she was even born. I had help from my sisters,
and even some of the grand kids did a page or two.

So many wonderful storys and memories are in this book.
There are even love letter from my parents from the earlier years of there marriage!

I learned so much about my Mother when I made this album,
I asked a million questions about her life and I am so glad I did,

little did we know this would be the last Christmas she would be with us.

It is hard to believe it has been six years already since she left us!
Someday when I am gone, these albums will be passed onto my daughter.
This is the final page of her scrapbook.
This is for you Mom!
Happy Mother Days
I love you and Miss You!

Material used for this layout were:
Kool Crystals Slide Charms ( MOM )
Say It in Crystals ( Bling)
Kimberly Poloson Double sided Card stock
Cricut Cartridges used:
Storybook
George & Basic Shapes

I am going to enter this layout over at Hoo's Crafty for their Morther Day Challenge.
Be sure to play along in the challenge!
I can't wait to see your wonderful projects!
As always Thanks for stopping by!
