Twas The Night Before Christmas! 25 Days of Christmas Crafting Showcase.

Welcome to Day 22 of the 25 Days of Christmas Crafting Showcase. Can you believe that there are only 3 more days until Christmas!  Today we were asked to make a project with a Christmas theme. I decided to make a 12X12 layout with a picture of my three granddaughters taken on Christmas Eve 2009.
The tree is a cutting file from Paper Crafting World, which was given to me to use in todays project. I used to make miniature Dollhouses and I had this set of miniature lights in my crafting supplies and decided to see if I could light up my Christmas tree. The pictures really do not do it justice, it looks so much better up on my mantel.
I used George and Basic Shapes to cut my circle at 10 inches.
The Noel, Santa and Twas The Night Before Christmas sign are all chip Board piece from my stash.
Papers are from We R Memory Keepers White Christmas
Sown Flurry, Holly Jolly and Santa's Helpers

I followed the sketch from this weeks challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches
so of course I will be entering this layout into their challenge.
Here is a picture of my layout in the dark all lite up.
Before I sign off for today I would like to take this time to wish all my followers a very safe and Happy Holiday. I hope Santa is good to you and that you get to spend some very special time with your families and loved ones.
Merry Christmas!
To All

Here Comes Santa!

Today I have another cute card for a couple of challenges. The first challenge is for Exploring Cricut. This is their last challenge until the New Year. This weeks challenge is to make a project using a tree.
The second challenge is for The Cuttlebug Spot, this weeks challenge is to make a project with good Old St. Nick. I used Cricuts Jolly Holiday for the Santa, tree and the reindeer, cutting everything at 3.50 inches. I just love this cartridge, I had such a hard time finding it, but I finally scored one and I couldn't be any happier!
Thanks for stopping bye, have a great week!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday!

Today I have a quick card I whipped up for this weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut. I just love there blog and I try and make a project as often as I can...who knows I just might be lucky enough to win, but even if I don't I always enjoy taking part in the fun.

For this fun card, I used the mouse from Winter frolic cutting it at 3.50 inches. The paper was all from my scrap bucket and the ribbon was just some pretty ribbon purchased from the Dollar store.
Hope you enjoyed my project for this weeks challenge me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut. Thanks for stopping bye and have a great week.

25 Days of Christmas Crafting Fun! Last Minute Gift Ideals.

Welcome to Day 14 and another fun project for Cooking with Cricut 25 Days of Christmas Crafting Fun. Today the Design team members were asked to created easy last minute Christmas gift ideals. This was really a fun and easy project that could be given to just about anyone, grand kids, teachers, mailmen or even the person who just lives down the street.

Lets face it who doesn't like chocolate!
You can give without loving, but you can't love without giving, and the gift of chocolate is the most loving of all.
I think the hardest part of this project was finding the plastic shaped cone bags, but once I found them I was on a roll.
For my Hot Cocoa Cone I used the following cartridges to create the tags.
Tags Bags and More
Winter Frolic
and
Christmas Noel Cartridges
Sizzix Dies
Paper was from my scraps.
Cone shape plastic bags.
Cinnamon Hearts
Chocolate chips
Two serving of cocoa mix
topped with marshmallows.
I do have one suggestion if you decide to make the Hot Cocoa Cones, use a separate bag for the cocoa otherwise the cocoa mix goes over all the other ingredients ( these are the ones I will give to the grand kids!) LOL!
So that's it for Day 14 of Christmas Crafting Fun.  Make sure you head over to Cooking With Cricut and check out all the other great last minute ideals and don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win this weeks prizes and get your freebies for the day.
I am going to enter this project over at Cricut Cardz: this weeks challenge is to make two gift tags.
Next Challenge is Whimsical Designs:Winter Fun! Create a Christmas or winter theme project and include something sparkly.

25 Days of Christmas and Crafting Fun! Day 10

Hello my crafty friends. Welcome to Day 10 of The 25 Days of Christmas and Crafting Fun with Cooking with the Cricut....
Today projects are all about Santa, Jolly O'l St. Nick.

I found the instruction for this darling treat box over at Splitcoast Stampers and as soon as I saw it I had visions of sugar plums dancing in my head! Well maybe not sugar plums but candy is always a good thing, and since everyone I know seems to be watching their weight I decided to whip up a few of these and add sugar free candy to them. What a perfect Christmas Gift!

I used Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge, cutting Santa and the tree at 4 inches. All papers were from my scrap bucket( I just love when this happens), I then added flower soft flock for the fur on Santa's suit and a little bit of stickles and glitter.
The sentiment is from a  old Stamp set I have from Stampin up. I hope you have enjoyed today's project, don't forget to head over to Cooking with Cricut for your freebies. I know there is a real cute Santa's cutting file that I can't wait to get my hands on!
Thanks for stopping bye, have a great weekend!
I will also be entering this project into the following challenges.
Fantabulous Cricut: Present time
My Craft Spot: Christmas Treat
The Cuttlebug Spot: Leftover....Use Them!

25 Days of Christmas and Crafting Fun!

Hello my crafty friends. Welcome to Day 8 of The 25 Days of Christmas and Crafting Fun with Cooking with the Cricut....

Today projects are all about April Showers and Easter.

I decided to make a criss cross card with a belly band for today project. Instructions for this card can be found over at Split coast Stampers. For my darling little bunny on top of the card I used a file that I got last year as a freebie from Cooking with Cricut. The Happy Easter was cut from Easter 2010 Cricut Cartridge.
I wish the pictures had turned out better, the bunny has a real shimmer to it but the camera just would not pick it up, I did notice the silly thing picked up the mess on my matt! LOL! So now it is time to say goodbye for today, but don't forget to stop by and check out the freebies, inspiration and details about the awesome giveaways that are going on over at Cooking with Cricut!

Sleigh Ride! Cooking with Cricut Challenge

"Just hear those sleigh bells jingling,Ring-ting-tingling too,Come on, it's lovely weatherFor a sleigh ride together with you."
This weeks challenge at Cooking with Cricut is all about "Sounds of the Season"  I have always wanted to use the sleigh from Winter Woodland and so my layout was born. After cutting the sleigh I called my sister and asked if she had any family pictures that would go with this theme, and low and behold she came across these wonderful gems of my grandmother and her brothers and sisters bringing home their Christmas tree in about 1916. She also sent a picture of the camera that took the picture and a little write up about the photo including the ox and dogs name. After receiving these fantastic photos I had no problem with creating my layout.

I designed this darling 12X12 layout using the freebie cutting files being offered today. Don't you think these Elf's are just the cutest thing yet?????
The fireplace was cut using Christmas Cheer and the stockings were cut from Winter Frolic  Cartridges.
Out of all the cartridges I own I could not find a scroll or Santa list and I just had to have one to complete my layout, so I used my computer and found the image I wanted and then just paper pieced it myself. I used a fine gel pen to write the Santas list starting with the toys I had placed under the tree, then I decided to add a few things I would like to see under my tree this year! Hint Hint Santa!

Wow what a great turn out for the Disney Pixar Blog Hop, I would like to thank all of you for stopping bye and for the wonderful comments you left me, you really make my day! But before I announce the winner I would like to share a layout I made for a challenge over at Handmade Halo. If you haven't check out this blog.....please do they have a great Design Team and such beautiful handmade embellishment for all your scrapping needs.
For this challenge you need to follow the sketch, use at least one Halo product and add a set of wings. Here is my take of the sketch, which I call Kissin Cousins.
I used these beautiful floral buttons which are from Handmade Halo and prima flowers.
I used my computer for the title along with my Martha Stewart punch.
For my winged item I found this stork banner, which can be found on Cricuts Nursery Rhyme Cartridge which I just received in the mail just the other day.

All edges were inked and I added some pretty satin ribbon. I hope you enjoyed todays project. Now on to what you all stopped bye for. in the first place!

Gone Buggy!

What a great weekend, hubby had to go out of town for a few days, so I decided to ask a few girlfriends over for a scrap booking weekend. Both my sister Debby and my daughter Christy stayed over for the whole weekend but the other girls just came and went as they felt. On Saturday we had a yummy potluck supper and a couple of beers. Believe it or not we even got some scrap booking done. My BFF little sister came over and we gave Brenda her first lesson in scrapping......and yes another scrap booking monster has been created! This is one of the cards I made between all the laughing  teaching and fun we had!
I had a couple of different challenges in mind when I made the card. One of my Blogging Buddies over at Pat's Scraps is having a challenge going on right now to celebrate her one year blogaversary. I thought what better card then a gone Buggy Card with the cutest Cricut head I have ever seen! This cut was part of a  swap I was in a couple of  months ago and it was created by Jenny over at Crazy About Cricut! I placed the head on top of a action wobble and OMG! It is just so cute when you wiggle it.
I used all scraps from my  scrap bucket and made it into a easel card so I could enter it at My Craft Spot. challenge.
The gone buggy was cut from Everyday Cricut Cartridge Thanks for stopping bye and have a great week.

My Creative Time and Peachy Keen Challenge! Merry Merry Merry Christmas!

Wow! I am just getting this challenge done under the wire! For today's card, I decided to combine two great challenges into one card. I really wanted to enter My Creative Time "Throwback Thursday Challenge" it just seems like forever since I have entered one of
Emma's challenges, this week Emma asked us to use a "Kids Friendly" cartridge.
I finally got my greedy little paws on a Jolly Holiday Cartridge ( after what seems like FOREVER) so of course I just had to use it for today's card! I cut my little cutie pie at 4 inches using my gypsy for her adorable little face using the hide feature so I could use my Peachy Keen face stamps, I then added white flock for the fur.
Then low and behold, yesterday this great Sketch came along for this weeks challenge at Peachy Keen: This weeks challenge is to follow this amazing sketch and create a card or layout based on the sketch and use paper piecing in your project. How fun is that?
The sentiment is from Bug Bites All Year Round stamp set, which can be purchased HERE. The circle was cut at 2 inches using Storybook cartridge. I hope you have enjoyed todays project. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Merry & Bright 2 page Christmas Layout!

On Friday night my daughter Christy came over to visit and do a bit of scrapbooking. We had no ideal what we were going to do until I found a wonderful sketch challenge over at Cricut Cutter Room. So we both decided it was time to start our Christmas layouts for this year.

I used My Minds Lost and Found Christmas paper for the layouts and the pictures really do not do it justice, it is very dull and gloomy out today but I wanted to get it on before the challenge was over
I followed the sketch for the picture mattes and then added a few little extras to spruce it up a bit. The Crinkled Ribbon is from My Craft Spot.
The camel and donkey are embossed with Hounds Tooth and Swiss Dots embossing folders using my cuttlebug.
This is the second page of the layout. I used Winter Frolic to make the cuts of the animals and shepard.
The Angel was cut from Christmas Noel.
I embossed the lamb with D'Vine Swirls also using my cuttlebug. This is a picture of the sketch we were to use. All in all we had a very enjoyable evening, it is always so much more fun to scrap when you have someone to share your passion with. Hope you enjoyed my project for today.
Have a great week!
