Christmas Day Gift Exchange!

Hello all My Crafty Friends!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas with all there family and loved ones. I also hope that each of you were spoiled rotten just like I was!
Today I just wanted to share with you a Christmas exchange gift I made for Christmas Day at my little sisters house. This year it was her turn to host Christmas and  28 of us were able to attend.
Each year we buy a gift and play a game where you draw a number and then you can pick from under the Christmas Tree or steal the other person gift, we were all getting pretty tired of it so my sister Penny came up with a new gift exchange game that was so much fun!
Each person had to make a edible gift with no help from anyone. So what this meant if you wanted to play you had to create your own gift. I had seen these mice on the Internet but decided to add a couple of mice traps to my project and made three types of cheese for the mice to play on out of Rice Krispies Squares and fondant. It probably took me over 5 hours to make but I was so happy with the way it turned out!
There were a lot of different food gifts, here are just a few of them: Grinch Cookies, Cake pop, Candy Cane Vodka, Pickled Eggs, Hot Coco, Monkey Buns, Baily's and my son even make a Santa's Sleigh with nine reindeer's and three Christmas trees. A lot of thought was put into the exchange gifts this year and the whole family had a ball.

Hello Kitty Gift Tags

Pink By Design is having a fun tag challenge this week and since I ran out of gift tags so I thought this would be a great challenge to enter!

I usually have all the gift bought and wrapped by the beginning of September but this year I came down sick in the middle of August and it took me three months to get well enough to even think about shopping. I cannot tell you how good it feels to be able to breath again!

I make these four Hello Kitty Tags for my grand kids gift.
I do think they are just adorable! Don't you?
I used Hello Kitty Cricut Cartridge for both sets of tags.

On the inside of the tags I used Joys Life "Wintery Puns"
I just adore the nice or naughty sentiment from this set. I am going to use this tag for you Jasmine and guess which one Nanny is going to check off! LOL!
To finish off these little tags I added some tiny pompom to the hats and shoes.
Challenges Entered;
D.L. Art Thankful Thursday Challenge- anything red or green. You still have time to enter this one.
Exploring Cricut is also having a fun Christmas challenge so you just might want to check this one out also!

Here Comes Santa Clause!

Good morning all my Crafty Friends. Today it is my turn to post a project for Joys Life Stamps Design Team!
This week the Design Team will be bringing you project that are bright and shinny!
Since I am so far behind in my Christmas Cards I decided to make a shape card using a Quilted Christmas Cricut Cartridge.
I used red Stickles for all my pretty glitter and Liquid Pearl for Santa's fur. For the Holly I used a Martha Stewart punch and red Liquid Pearl for the Berries.
To make this card into a shape card I just used two of the shadows in white and scored them just below the candles and joined them together. It  was just as easy as that.
For the sentiment I used Joys Life "Oh Christmas Puns" which fit just perfect below Santa's feet.
So that it for today's project I hope you enjoyed it.
Challenges Entered:
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday - Shaped Card.
Bitten By The Bug 2 - Santa Clause
My Craft Spot - Shaped Card
Thanks for stopping bye have a great week and Happy Holidays to all.

Dreamweaver Embossing Paste Tutorial

Good morning all my crafty friends! Today I have another great project for Joys Life Stamps
This week Joy's Life Design Team will each be doing a scrap booking tutorial. When I heard about this I wasn't to sure what I would do.
I finally decided to go with a Dreamweaver Embossing Paste tutorial using a stencil.
First I got all my supplies ready then I was ready to get crafting.

First step is to tape the stencil down onto the card stock so it doesn't move.

Next just add the embossing paste to your spatula and spread it across the template, make sure you do not lift it up or push it down onto the template ( or it will force the paste into areas you don't want)

Next take the tape off and gently lift the template away.
While the paste is still wet you can add some ultra fine glitter to your project. Then set it aside and let it dry. It will take a few hours.

Once it is dry it is time to make your card.
I used the sentiment from Joy's Life Wintery Puns which can be purchased here.
I hope I have inspired you to try this cool type of embossing. I love the way the card turned out and there are so many great stencil out there for you to use.
I will be entering this card in this weeks challenge over at Go Fish Challenge Blog- Holiday Season Projects.

Winner of Joy's Life Happy Holiday Blog Hop and Snowman Candy Bars!

Before I announce the winner of the Joy's Life Happy Holidays Blog Hop I wanted to show you these darling Snowman Candy Wrappers I made for my wonderful grand babies! Even though my oldest grandson just got engaged a couple of months ago he will always be grandmas baby boy.

I saw these Snowman Candy Wrappers last year on one of the blogs and I thought I am just going to have to make these next year.
Of course I didn't bookmark it, but I was able to goggle it and found them at Laurie Furnell Blog which she is giving away for free in the spirit of Christmas,

I decided to use gloves for the little snowman's hat and then when the kids take them apart  they will be able to keep there little hands warm.( well maybe one hand anyway!)
The scarfs are wool that I picked up at Walmart which was my sisters ideal! Thank you Debby!

I also wanted to add a little gift tag along with each one so I used two different size punches and Joys Life All Around Sentiments Stamps for the tags.
So if you want a real quick last minute gift to make you just found it! I think they would be perfect  gifts for a neighbor, teacher, mailman, co-worker or just about anyone!

Now on to the winner of the embossing folders!
First off all I would like to thank all of you that took the time to leave me a comment. I do read each and everyone of them and you are the ones that inspire me to keep on blogging. There are many times when I think I should just give it up all together, but then I will read a comment and say to myself but she really like it and so I continue to keep on doing what I have been doing for the last couple of years which is creating.
Anyway enough of my babbling for one day!
I recived 30 lovely comments and the winner is!

Good Morning to all my Crafty Friends and Happy Monday!
This week the Design Team were asked to make Food projects that will be quick, easy and great for last minutes gifts, using Joy's Life Awesome Stamps Sets!
I decided to make a candy jar with a old candle jar that was ready to be tossed in the trash. I made sure it was cleaned very well and filled it with one of my favorite candy's.
Who doesn't like assorted Toffees?
I used a Martha Stewart border punch to create the band and the added a beautiful Flocked Deco-Border.
The tag was cut from StoryBook Cricut cartridge at 3 inches. I then added some stickles to give it some glitter and used another Martha Stewart punch for the leafs.
For the sentiment I used Joy's Life Wintery Puns.
Here is a picture of the top of the jar with once again tons of stickles and the snowman is from Joys Life Oh Christmas Puns.
I hope you enjoyed today's project.

Cupcake Orna-ment and Gift Box.

Hello my Crafty friends today I have my first Design Team post for Joy's Life Stamps. I was just like a little kid when my parcel arrived. I didn't know which stamp set I wanted to use first, they are all so nice.

So this week the Design Team are featuring gift bags and boxes.
I think these ornaments and pretty little boxes will be the perfect gift for my neighbors on both side of us.
This is the first ornament I made using the Sentiment from Joy's Life Wintery Puns. Inside the box is this yummy looking ornament.
Doesn't the cupcake look good enough to eat?
For the second gift box I used Joy's Life All Around Stamps. Now all that left for me to do is add the ornament to the box and tie a pretty bow around it and I can scratch off two more gifts from my to do list!

The ornament itself was so easy to make. For the icing I used Dreamweaver Embossing paste to icing the ornament and well it was still wet I sprinkled on some tiny coloured beads.
Once the ornament was dry I just hot glued it into a cupcake wrapper and added a bead on top for the cherry.
For the gift box itself you can find the instructions over HERE.
So that is it for today. I hope I have inspired you to try out these cute ornaments and boxes . Until next time have a great day.

Fall Layout and "Winner" from My Blog Candy!

Good Evening my Crafty friend! Today I have a layout to share with you for the challenge over at Lets Get Sketchy!

Last weekend Lets Get Sketchy had their first Blog Hop and let me tell you it was a very good with lots of talent. When I was finished hopping they had me wanting to join in the challenge with a fall layout.

The challenge was also a colour challenge so I made sure I used the colour pallet they provided.

I will be adding some picture of the grand kids raking the leafs last fall, but since I left things to the last minute I didn't have time to print them.
This is a close up picture of the chip board letters which I covered in matching paper and added stickles for the finishing touches.

The pattern paper is called Indian Summer which my Bestie gave me, I used different shades of card stock to do the layers.
The wheelbarrow was cut from Cricuts A Walk In My Garden
and the leafs are from a Tim Holtz Alteration Decorative Strip
I am also going to enter this in D.L. Art Linky Party: Anything Goes!
and now its time to pick the winner from ny Blog Candy
and the winner is!

Hello my Crafty Friends. Today I have another fun layout for this weeks challenge at Lets Get Sketchy!

Here is a picture of this weeks sketch for Lets Get Sketchy!
and here is my take of the sketch.
I just love this picture of my nephews son. It was taken two winters ago and I will never forget that winter, we had so much snow there was no where left to put it, but the kids had so much fun playing like kids do, making snow forts, snow angels and we can't forget the snowmen.
I used a SVG file from My Scrap Chick for the cute little snowball.

Winter Park echo park paper company.
Snowflake brads and I even decided to do a bit of sewing on the layout.
I am also going to enter this layout over at D.L. Art Thankful Thursday Linky Party: challenge Anything Goes!

Hocus Pocous!

Today I have another Halloween gift box and matching card to show you.
I wanted to get this made so I can join in the fun over at Bittin By The Bug 2- this weeks challenge is to make a project with a witch on it.

Both the card and Gift box were cut from Cricuts Wrap Up Cartridge

I cut the box using the fit to page feature and it turned out to be a good size. I was able to put a lot of candy in it for our neighbors little girl. It was so cold here last night that we only had 49 kids coming to the door. I have so much candy left over it is unreal, I picked up enough for 375 kids!
I used Martha Stewart Halloween paper stack from last year. I just love the black glitter paper that I used for the witch and frame.
The card measure 4.50 by 7 inches and the sentiment is from My Craft Spot
I am also going to enter this in
D.L. Art  Anything Goes Link up Party.
Next Challenge is Just Scrappin'- even thou Halloween is over they just have not seen enough Halloween Projects! So this weeks challenge is Halloween!
Thanks you for stopping by and have a safe week.
