Cuttlebug Spot Challenge Gingerbread House Mini Album

So this week The Cuttlebug Spot are having another awesome challenge. This week challenge is embossing on a mini album. I decided to do a little Gingerbread House with some of my Mom's favorite Christmas Cookies Recipes. This was a lot of work but also many good memories came flooding back of when my mother was alive and we would make these cookies togeher. I am, going to pass this book on to my daughter in law because she loves to bake, and I know my son loves Nan's Sandie Cookies.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #20 At the Zoo

Once again Fantabulouse Cricut are having another wonderful challenge me Monday. This weeks challenge is At the Zoo, create a card or project using an animal, must be a cricut cut animal. I had a great time doing this project yesterday and can hardly wait to take the grand kids to Story land Valley Zoo so I can get some cool pictures to add to the layout. The lion and elephant were both cut from Create A Critter Cartridge. I also added some cool animal eyelets I had kicking around. I didn't have any ribbon that really went with the layout, so I just cut some stripes of paper from the scraps, and I think it really worked out kind of cool.

Santa And His Sleigh Christmas In July 2010 Layout

So I decided to start a Christmas album for 2010 since there are so may challenges going on right now to do with Christmas. This will be for first page of the album since I only had one sheet of the background card stock and I hate wasting anything when it comes to scrap booking.
I cut the Santa and his Sleigh at 4 1/2 inches using my Christmas Noel Cricut Cartridge. I also used my Cuddlebug snowflake embossing folder, which I just love! I followed the sketch over at Sketches In Tyhme they have a new sketch challenge each week. Then I followed a Christmas Thyme so I could enter it in Challenge Me Monday #19 over at Fantabulous Cricut

Christmas in July

Well if I keep this up, I just might have my Christmas Cards done on time this year and even get them out. All the challenges seem to have a Christmas in July thyme, so what a great way to get things done early.
Well looking at all the different Blogs out there I see that everyone seems to be using digi stamps , so I decided to try one. OMG! they are totally awesome, I love to colour! I found this freebie over at Dustin Pike and I can just picture myself on some tropical island at Christmas time instead of -20 degrees in Canada!
I have entered this card in the following challenges
The Cuttlebug Spot Christmas in July
The Cuttlebug Challenge Be Inspired #93 Christmas week Sketch.

Hannah Montana Birthday Card

This week my Granddaughter Katie turned eight years old. It seems like yesterday we were rushing her Mom and Dad to the hospital to give birth to our darling baby girl. Like any young Diva, Katie loves The Hannah Montana show, know all her songs and plays her game on the Wii when she visits Nanny's and Papas house. So I thought what better card then Hannah Montana.

I also thought this card would be great for the challenge over at Made By Momo http://madebymomo.blogstop.com/ Her Tuesday challenge is A Girly Affair.
The picture does not do the card justice, The background paper is a white glitter paper which my camera would not pick up.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great evening.
