Such a fun and easy project to make with just a bit of paint and a little bit of paper. I hope you enjoyed my Disney Project today!

A Little Birdie Told Me!

Hello all my Crafty friends and family, I  hope you all had a great weekend with lots of sunshine and tons of family fun!
Today I am super excited to be a Guest Diva over at Die Cuttin' Divas
This week challenge is to create a Birthday card with a Die Cut on it
This was such a fun card to design with some super cute paper from Studio G  which I picked up at Walmart
The sentiments on the clouds were from two different sets of My Pink Stampers Stamp Sets.
All Die cuts were cut with my Cricut machine along with Pop Up Dots for dimension. For this card I used three different cartridges.
Kate's ABC's
Disney Pooh and Friends
and
Lacy Labels
I hope you enjoyed my card today and that I have inspired you to join in on the challenge .
I would also like to take the time to say  a special thank you to the ones that find the time to leave  me a comment. It really does make my day!
One last thing I must say !
Thank You to Die Cuttin Divas for letting me be part of their team this week! It has been a real pleasure.

Always Friends!

Hello to all my crafty friends and family! Well I am finally home again after three and a half months. Yes its good to be back  but I do miss the beautiful sunshine and pool in the back yard that we had in Arizona.
I did find some time to scrapbook when we were down there but had to wait till we got home to put the finishing touches on my layout and print the pictures.
The first month we were in Arizona we were lucky enough to have a couple of dear friends and there better half's come to visit us. This is a picture of us three girls joking around in the palm trees after having a couple of drinks.
FYI! watch out for the bark on the palm trees they have a mean bite!
For this layout I used the following Cricut Catridges:
Life is A Beach
Old West
and
Wild Card
the paper is by American Craft.
I am entering this layout over at Hiding in My Craft Room to help celebrate National Scrapbooking Day.
I hope you enjoyed today's post. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Birthday Card

Good Morning to all my friends and family in blogging land!
Today I am playing paying along with the fun sketch challenge from last week and this week challenge to use pastel colours over at Die Cuttin Diva's.
If you know anything about me you know I love using a sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch which I made while sitting in the shade yesterday
with all these pretty pastels of peaches, pinks and blue.

You have to love this Arizona weather, it is going to be a very sad day when we have to pack up at the end of the month and head back home. I was just talking to my daughter this morning and she said they had snow once again last night. I hope it is all gone by the time we get back. The only thing good about going back is my friends and family....I really do miss them a lot!
This card is called a center step card which can be found over at Split Coast Stampers.
The bird and branch were cut from Cricuts cartridge Serenade, this is one cartridge I have never used even though it was bought when it first came out. LOL!
The inside sentiment is by Hambo Stamps.
Challenges entered:
DL Art April Linky Party.
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge
So thats it for another day time to get outside and enjoy the weather well I can. Thanks for stopping bye and have a great wee.

May Your Day Bloom With Happiness!

Hello to all my crafty friends and family. Just to let you know we are still here in Arizona enjoying the beautiful weather and watching all the cactus come into bloom. I am stating to get a bit homesick, but there is still a lot of snow, dirt and snow mold all over in Edmonton, so I guess it will be at least another month before we head home
So in the mean time I decided to make a card to join in some of the fun challenges going on.
This week Fantabulous Cricut has a sketch challenge and  this is my take of it.
Here is a picture of the sketch which can be found over at Fantabuous Cricut Blog.

One of my favorite cards to make is a easel card I just love the way each one turns out so different and they are so easy to make. I all so love that Craftin Desert Diva's blog and D.L. Art Blog are both having a anything goes linky party! So I will be able to join in two more challenges all so ! Woo! Hoo!
This is one of my favorite butterflies cuts that Cricut has, it is from Pictureque Cricut cartridge, cut at 1.5 inches. I love all the different layers this cut has to offer.
For the inside of the card I used Cricuts Paisley for the small butterfly, cut at .50 and Storybook cartridge for the Thank you cut at 1 inch.
Next cartridge used was Ellegant Edges which worked out perfect to add this fun sentiment from My Craft Spots Inside and Out #1, and yes you guessed it they have a Thank you challenge going on right now. So here you have it, one card that I can enter in a few challenge. Plus I needed a thank you card for the lady that has been kind enough to let us rent this beautiful place for the last three months. So thank you Dawn! I am sure we will be back again next year.
Thanks for stopping bye and have a super fun week!

Birthday card and to let you all know I am still alive!

OMG!  I'm alive!
I cannot believe I have been away from my blog for over two months.
Has anyone missed me? LOL!
But really I do have a very good excuse, I ran away from the cruel Alberta winter for the last week of January and headed to Mexico where my Nephew and his new bride exchanged their wedding vows.

After a wonderful week of laying around in the sun and stuffing ourselves silly, it was back home for two days and then we headed to Arizona where once again we are soaking up the sun! and enjoying the beautiful sunsets around the pool.
I finally pulled out the scrap booking supplies last night to make my granddaughter a Birthday card, she turned 15 on March the 18th and of course we were not there to help celebrate so I will throw this card in the mail tomorrow with a check so she can go shopping!
I found a fun sketch challenge blog called Seize the sketch and decided to play along.
Here is the picture of this weeks sketch
and here is my take on the sketch
sorry about not being able to crop the cards but I only have my laptop with me so it has been a real headache.
I did bring down my cricut machine this year and my gypsy so I was able to cut out this tray of cupcakes using cricuts Sweetshop cartridge.
I am also going to enter this in this weeks challenge over at Die Cuttin Diva's: Snack attack!
Hope all my family and friends are staying safe and having a great time with their loved ones. Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I will be back soon,
