Cooking With Cricut Challenge #57

Today is my first posting as a new member of the Design Team for Cooking with Cricut. I am so excited to be part of this wonderful blog and look forward to all the upcoming challenges. This weeks challenge #57 is scarecrows, hay, crows and 3 Sketches. For my first challenge with this amazing team I decided to follow the fun two page layout sketch that was provided.
Last year we had these wonderful family photos taken as part of a fundraiser. It was hard to get everyone together at one time, but I am so happy we did. Page one is a picture of Myself, Hubby, our two children and of course our beautiful grandchildren, it is hard to believe that this group of people all came about because two people fell in love! The second page I have my daughter Christy and her family and below is my sons Russell and his family.

The cute little crow is from a cutting file called Silly Crows which can be purchased from Paper Crafting World

Cartridges used were:
Disney- Princesses Happily Ever After- Pumpkin Vine
Old West- Hay
Disney- Hannah Montana- Letters and numbers
Mini Monsters- The Fence

Embossing folders used were:
Cuttlebug: Tiny Mosaic for the corn, Swiss Dots for the letters and pumpkins, Pumpkins for the photo matts.
Craft Concepts- Wood grain for the fence.

So now it is your turn to go over to Cooking With Cricut and share with us what you can cook up with this awesome challenge.

Lol Jenny! We don't have any of those big box craft stores here!!! I usually get my stuff online or when I go visit the inlaws in IN and KY. That's when I save all my $$, bring an extra suitcase, and go crazy at Joanns, HL, and Michaels.

We do have a couple of stores here. Ben Franklin Crafts is on Mapunapuna st. or Kamehameha Hwy in Pearl City. Scrapbook Clubhouse is in the Harbor Center across from Pearlridge mall. Pretty far from Waikiki... if you're taking a Taxi, probably half an hour (and about $60!) or about an hour and a half on a bus. Just be warned though... these places will cost you your kidney... no joke. That's why I shop online!

Don't forget to try Gyu-kaku in Waikiki.. it's my favorite restaurant! It's cook your own Japanese barbeque! Beef tongue sounds weird but tastes awesome!

Halloween is so crazy in waikiki! it takes about an hour to drive through all the traffic down the strip, its nuts! have fun!
