OH MY! Seeing Spots and Using Polka Dots!

Woo Hoo! Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog is seeing spots!
So today I just happen to have the perfect layout for this challenge, yes another Disney layout. It seems like I'm on a real roll finally with my pictures from Disney World from 2009 and 2011.
About time LOL!
I will also be entering this layout in another one of my favorite challenge blogs
Die Cuttin Diva's - this weeks challenge is Anything Goes!
and also D.L. Art Thankful Thursday Link up Party.

I love anything to do with Disney and even though the Disney cuts take a bit more time to make the end results are worth it.
Both Minnie's were cut from Cricuts Mickey and Friends Cartridge
and the title was cut from Cricuts Mickey and Friends Fonts Cartridge.
Final touches were a bit of chalking, a few pop up dots and a bit of Stickles.
As always thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed today's project.

Halloween Treat Boxes

Yesterday was my Hubby birthday but we had concert tickets to see "Rain" last night so I decided to put off having the family over till today to help celebrate. I forgot it was my baby sisters weekend to have her granddaughter over so just before they arrived I ran done to my scrap room and made a couple of Halloween treat boxes for the little one.
I used Cricut Happy Hauntings for both treat boxes using the fit to page feature.

Challenges

Tulum Ruins Mexico Part 2- Lets Get Sketchy Challenge

Wow! I"m on a real roll right now, I haven't done this many layouts in a very long time! I must say scrap camp is just what the doctor ordered! I have my mojo back!
Today I have another sketch challenge from Lets get Sketchy and I am so please it went just perfect with my Mexican layout I just did last weekend  The perfect two page layout, if I say so myself.
This is the latest sketch from Lets Get Sketchy.
and here is my take of the sketch, everything is just about the same and oh my goodness!...NO CRICUT CUTS!
a closer shot of the top( and yes I did notice one of the files was loose)
A closer view of the bottom.
and last but not least here are the two pages together. Scrappin this layout brought back some wonderful memories and if you are ever near enough to Tulum it is a breathtaking experience.

Tulum Ruins- Lets Get Sketchy Week 3

Just a quick post to share another layout I did at the scrap booking retreat in Jasper last weekend. Once again I followed a sketch that can be found over at Lets Get Sketchy challenge blog and if you hurry you still have time to enter.
Above is the sketch I followed for week 3 at Lets Get Sketchy.
and here is my take of the sketch.

I had to laugh when I was making this layout because my daughter always says "Mom you never use colour in your layouts"
While honey you can't say that about this layout!
It is nothin but colour!

I had picked this paper up last year just after we got back from a vacation in Mexico. I loved the bright colours, the paper is called Fiesta by We R Memory.
The tags at the top of the layout were cut from Cricut cartridge Tag Bags and More and I added a couple of charms that I had laying around for years
The Mexico title and the ruins tag were cut from Cricut cartridge Destination. In the far corner I added another little charm of a donkey.
I love the way this layout came out and it has brought back such great memories of a wonderful day visiting the Tulum Ruins-Mayan ruins in Quintana Roo, Mexico.
I will also be entering this in this months challenge over at Cards Galore Scrapbooking Challenge- the theme this month is "Autumn"( must include at least one picture) I think these colours are the perfect Autumn colours, I can just picture my trees in the backyard with all these beautiful colours (except for the turquoise blue LOL!) before the cold winter months hint Sunny Alberta!
As always thanks for stopping bye and have a great weekend.

Mickey and Friends Layout! for Lets Get Sketchy Challenge

I had the nicest weekend in the mountains in Jasper with my older sister Debbie my daughter Christy and my niece Nicole where we spent all our time talking, drinking and scrapping. It was my first time going to a scrap camp and it will not be the last. We all had such a great time! It was so good to get away from the phone, housework and cooking!
The first layout I did was for challenge week 2 at Lets Get Sketchy. A matter of a fact all the sketches I did were for Lets get Sketchy! LOL!
This is a picture of the sketch I followed.
and this is my take of the sketch
I dedided to do a two page layout.

This second page was also a sketch from Lets Get Sketchy from a past challenge that was already over, but I didn't have time to do, but thought it was just the perfect match to the first page.
I used Disney paper and Mickey and Friends Disney Cricut Cartridge and Mickey and Friends Disney Fonts Cricut Cartridge for the cuts. The borders were made by using my gypsy and welding a couple of the borders together. I finished the layout off with a couple of arrow brads which I got from my sister that matched my paper perfect and I do thank her for having them.
I am going to finish my post off with a couple of pictures from the weekend and hope you enjoy them.
My sister and daughter
First night at supper( my sister helping Christy drink her beer)
What was I doing??? My niece Nicole

These were taken outside our hotel the day after we arrived, it snowed all weekend, but it was warm and cozy inside and the food and company was great.
Thanks for stopping bye. Have a great week.

Owie! Get Well Card for DL. Art Thankful Thursday Challenge

Let me tell you it has been a heck of a week or two, if anything could go wrong it has. I decided it was time to update my gypsy and then I got a security breech message and had to wait till Monday to get help from Povo Craft. They were very helpful but I did lose all my files and then when I went to down load my new cartridges on to it, the silly thing still fif not update! I have decided to wait until next week to try again because I am leaving for Jasper tomorrow for my first scrapbooking camp so I had better leave well enough alone, because I would be lost without it.
I did find time this morning to make a quick card for my friend who had surgery yesterday morning. I hope this will help to make her feel a bit better.
For the base of the card I used my gypsy and Cricuts Elegant Edges Cartridge, welding two shapes together. The band aid and the title were from B is for Boys Cricut cartridge.
I will be entering this in last weeks challenge over at  DL. Art Thankful Thursday Challenge. Thanks for stopping by and make sure you pop in next week to see everything I created in Jasper.

Miles of Smiles!

Hello my Crafty friends! I hope this post finds you all well. It has been a heck of a bad couple of months for me. I have been just so sick, one thing after another but I did find a bit of time to get down to my craft room and do a layout for the challenge over at Fantabulous Criut.
This weeks challenge me Monday is to Celebrate Columbus day, you must include a boat in your project.
I decided to do a layout of my grandson Jaime, the pictures were taken in 1998. It is so hard to believe this little guy is going to be turning 18 this July.
Here's a close up of the boat.
I used B is for Boys for the sail boat and Zooballoo for the waves. I added a couple of buttons to the layout and decided to call the layout Miles of Smiles because he does have the cutest smile.
Thanks for stopping by and sticking with me even if the post have been so few over the last couple of months. Have a great week and take care.

Happy Birthday Princess!

Today I decided to make a card for my Granddaughter Jasmines Birthday that is coming up next month. She was born on Remembrance Day. so this is one birthday I do not forget. LOL! With six grandchild I do tend to get mixed up with there ages, names and birth dates, but they just laugh at me and take it with a grain of salt.
I saw this card and knew I just had to make it for Jasmine, she is becoming a bit of a Diva if I say so myself. The card is a free SVG from Shery K Designs. Which I cut with my Cameo.
The black and white glitter paper was picked up at Michael's, it is Black Zebra by Recollections. I added some pink to the purse since Jasmine loves pink and I really liked the contrast. The Rosette was cut from Ribbons and Rosettes Cricut cartridge with my Expression 2.
I did add I white lining to the inside of the card and then stamped it with a cute sentiment.
I will be entering this card into the following challenges.
Fantabulous Cricut Use the colour Pink
Cameo Creations- Anything goes
Scapper in the Making- Diva Birthday project
As always thanks for stopping by. Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian Bloggers, have a great day with your loved ones.

Once Upon Time....Disney Challenge

Once upon a time...a carpenter picked up a strange lump of wood.
I love the story of Pinocchio.
When we were down in Florida in 2011 I was lucky enough to have my picture taken with the sweet wooden puppet. So when I saw this Disney Challenge over at Red Carpet Studios...I knew I just had to play along!
I pulled out one of my favorite Cricut cartridges( Disney Classics) and started to cut away. I cut Geppetto at 6 inches and Figaro was cut at 2.5. I then decided to add the first couple of paragraph for my journaling.
I was so happy to finally get the second page to this Disney layout down. The first page I created for a Disney Blog hop I had been in earlier this year. I think they look just wonderful together, now it it time to pull out some more pictures of this wonderful holiday and get some more memories into the album.
I will also be entering this layout over at DL Thankful Thursday Challenge- Anything goes/ Linky  party.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend.
