Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #60: Elderly People!

This picture was taken in Haddenham England in 2006. This is my brother in law Ian...... and if you can believe it, this sign is for real. Well, Ian is going to celebrate his 65Th birthday on May 21st. So I thought I had better get cracking and make him a Birthday card.

So this is what I came up with!

Ready to get into shape?

This weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut.
is to use not just one shape....but two. You must use a triangle and a rectangle.
Next challenge I will enter is Creative Sisters Monday Challenge #8:

anything Birthday.

The card is 5X5. This awesome twine can be purchased from My Craft Spot.

Cricut cartridges used were: Disney Cars and George and Basic Shapes
I found the verse on the internet and used my printer and white cardstock.

I sure hope Ian likes the card, and finds the humor in it!
Happy Birthday Ian and here's to another 65!

My Craft Spot Challenge # 8: Congratulations!

It's Design Team Day over at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge #8 is Congratulations. My nephews wife is expecting their first baby so I decided to make a card for them. I used Bo Bunny paper and My Craft Spot Sentiments inside and out stamps set #2 which I totally love because you can then finish the inside of your card off within seconds! I used New Arrivals and cut the pregnant lady at 4 inches.

For the card base I used my gypsy and welded two circles together from George and Basic shapes cutting them at 7 1/4 inches. The top layer of the card is from Mini Monograms cut at 6.75. I love this cut because then I was then able to run some pretty Spring Time Moss Crinkled Ribbon around the card and tie a pretty bow. ( which can be purchased over at My Craft Spot )

The happy couple do not know the sex of the baby yet, so I used Doodlecharms to cute these darling little faces at 2 inches and then finished them off with PKS. All edges were chalked and finished by using my faithful glitter pens. I hope you enjoyed todays card and will head over to My Craft Spot and see what the other great Design Team members came up with and then join in the fun and have a chance to win another awesome gift from My Crafy Spot!

I love when I make a card that I also can enter into some of my favorite challenges! The first challenge is Whimsical Wednesday: Take Shape.
Next is: My Creative Time!
for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge.

use the colour blue and Cricuts Doodlecharm Cartridge.

Disney Blog Hop! 101 Dalmatians Layout

Welcome to the Disney Blog Hop. Today we've created some amazing projects that will hopefully inspire you to create your own Disney memories.

If you arrived from Sandra's Blog you are in the right spot. If you are just visiting my blog and would like to start at the beginning please click HERE.

The original 101 Dalmatians was first shown in theaters in 1961. I remember going to the old Paramount Theater here in Edmonton as a young girl with my older sister Debby to see this show for the first time. I also remember loving every minute of it and coming home wanting a puppy so badly!

I found these wonderful Free SVG Files of the 101 Dalmatians over at Mardenz. If you have not visited this blog you are really missing something. If you like Disney...it is a must SEE!

I could not decide which picture I wanted to use, so I left it empty for now. I used the cutest paw print brads, outlined the frame with white gel pen, added a dog bone button and a Good Dog Tag.

In this picture you can see a better shot of the bone and dog.

I used my Gypsy and a couple of different shapes to make the arrow and also outlined it with the gel pen. Isn't that Dalmatian cute????
I decided to continue with the theme of todays dog project and give away some cute Dog Scrap booking items to one lucky follower. Please leave a comment with a way for me to get in touch with you.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Now it is time to send you off to the amazing talented Becka Blog. Have a great weekend my friends!

My Fravorite Cartridge Project & A New Challenge

First I have to tell you about this awesome challenge I found over at Bugjuiced with Debbie. She is giving one lucky winner a Cri-Kits Embossing Kit plus a surprise gift from herself. Maybe I should be keeping this challenge a secret so I have a better chance at winning, but l have never been good at this and besides I love my followers and would like you to have a chance at this awesome prize also!

So for this challenge all you need to do is use your favorite cartridge. Easy Right? Well not for me...all my cartridges are my favorite! Heck I have cartridges still in the packages, but these too are my favorite.

So I put my thinking cap on and decided I would do the second page to my Spring Fever Layout which you can find HERE. Talking about SPRING......I am also going to enter the layout in this weeks challenge over at Cooking with Cricut: Spring Flowers. And yes also Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #58 Flower Shower! Make a card with at least 3 flowers ( if you look up at the Bee she has a bee on her crown)

I used Kate's ABC's and A Garden of words for the layout. I just love Kate's Abc's and since I live in Canada it was a real hard one to get, so yes, it will be this weeks favorite! LOL. I also used a couple of SVG Files for the layout. The Daisy was a freebie from Cooking with Cricut and the Skunk was purchased from Precious Piecing.

I inked all the edges and used gel pen to add the final touches. Here are a few more pictures of the layout.
The Bee is from Kate's ABC's, cut at 3 inches, and this beautiful little girl is my grand daughter Katie!
OH....I just about forgot the grass was cut from Zooballo at 2 inches.
So as always my friend thanks for stopping by, have a lovely week and don't forget to check out Debbie's Awesome Challenge!!!

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #6 Mothers Day

It's Monday and time for My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #6
This weeks challenge is Mothers Day and

Kimberly is giving away a awesome prize to the winner.

Please stop over to her blog and check it out.

Here is my project for this weeks challenge.

My Mother was my Best Friend!
Not a day goes by that I do not think about her .

Before she passed away I decided to made a Scrapbook of her life for a Christmas
present. It turned out to be two binder full, and she just cherished it.
It started out with her Grandparents, before she was even born. I had help from my sisters,
and even some of the grand kids did a page or two.

So many wonderful storys and memories are in this book.
There are even love letter from my parents from the earlier years of there marriage!

I learned so much about my Mother when I made this album,
I asked a million questions about her life and I am so glad I did,

little did we know this would be the last Christmas she would be with us.

It is hard to believe it has been six years already since she left us!
Someday when I am gone, these albums will be passed onto my daughter.
This is the final page of her scrapbook.
This is for you Mom!
Happy Mother Days
I love you and Miss You!

Material used for this layout were:
Kool Crystals Slide Charms ( MOM )
Say It in Crystals ( Bling)
Kimberly Poloson Double sided Card stock
Cricut Cartridges used:
Storybook
George & Basic Shapes

I am going to enter this layout over at Hoo's Crafty for their Morther Day Challenge.
Be sure to play along in the challenge!
I can't wait to see your wonderful projects!
As always Thanks for stopping by!
