Birthday Celebrations!

This weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut is all about Birthdays! Well it just so happens my nephews little girl Paige is turning one next month so I thought I would get cracking and get her birthday card made and join in the fun at a couple of my favorite challenge blogs.

For the Birthday Celebrations challenge at Fantabulous Cricut you must include a candle, so I used this wonderful birthday paper by Imaginisce and then dug out my Seasame Street Font Cricut cartridge. I decided on the #1 Elmo since this is her first Birthday and Paige just loves Elmo! This was cut it at 3 inches and it was such a breeze to put together.

The inside of the card has a simple Birthday sentiment by Stampin Up. I then decided to cut a tag of Elmo waving from the same cartridge and cut it at 2.5 inches to fill up the empty space.

(I will try and upload the video later tonight...I am having trouble with blogger right now.)

I am also going to enter this card in this weeks challenge over at Action Wobbles. This weeks challenge - anything goes but must include Polka Dots! If you look closely at the candles on the background paper some  have polka dots and my action wobble is under Elmo himself on the front of the card. How fun is that. I can just see her pretty big eyes when she see it go wobble wobble!
As always thanks for stopping bye and leaving your comments, have a fun and safe weekend.

Nasty! Nasty!

Wow! I can't believe it is September 22 and we are all still wearing shorts and tank tops here in Alberta. It hit 26 degrees here today and it has been that way for over a week. How I wish this could last all year.

With this being said I decided to do a layouts of two of my grand daughters treating me to a pedicure. Whenever they come over they always rub lotion into my legs because I have such dry skin and Katie says she is going to be a Massage Therapist when she grows up and well, Jasmine just like to be included, but this time they asked if they could do a pedicure. Well by the time they were finished I had both my feet and nails done. LOL!
I followed this weeks sketch challenge over at Let's Get Sketchy. and  followed the theme from Fantabulous Cricut Challenge- End of Summer
I used 5 different cartridges for the layout.
Elegant Edges for the floral looking matt.
George and Basic Shapes for the Blurb
Forever Young for both the Nail Polish and the Title
Life's a Beach for the Flip Flops
The embossing folder is Animal Print by Sizzix and the paper is by DCW Baby Girl Stack.
I hope you enjoyed today's layout as much as I enjoyed making it. Have a great weekend and as always, thanks for stopping by and leaving your comments.

I'm Back!

Seems like forever since I last posted. We finally finished up with the Reno of my scrapbooking room and I must say it looks so nice. Thank you Russell you did a great job painting the walls! They are such a nice colours, and yes son once again you were right! A perfect match for the new carpet!
After the carpet went in, I put my hubby and grandson to work moving all the furniture back in and setting up the computer and my machines. Then it was my turn to go through every little thing I owned and clean, dust, thrown away and organize! Needless to say we were all exhausted so hubby and I decided to take off to Vegas for 6 days.

I really have missed blogging and joining in on all the challenges. So my first challenge was to see that blogger changed everything on me and it is like learning everything all over again! My second challenge was to make a mess in my new pretty room, but it had to be done since I have a whole bunch of things coming up next month that I need cards for.
The first project I decided to make was a Anniversary card for Hubby. We will have been married for 42 years on October 30th. (if I don't divorce him before then)
For my card I used all scraps from my stash. The clouds were cut from Pooh and Friends and the Hot Air Balloon was cut from Everyday Pop-up Cards. The sentiment is from My Pink Stampers Love-alicious and the twine was given to me from one of my blogging friends.
I will be entering this card in the following challenges.
D.L. Arts Thankful Thursday Challenge
Go Fish is celebrating there 1 Year Anniversary( WTG) so of course this weeks challenge is a Anniversary card.

Back To School Card with Attached Bookmark!

OMG! I am in one heck of a mess! Scrapbooking supplies from one end of my basement to the other. I am waiting for new flooring to arrive and now I have decided the walls need painting, so yes that means more mess. LOL! But I did go down there last night and make a card for a few of my favorite challenges.

The front of the card I designed using and this weeks Freebie from Bear Hugs Art and Scrap and my Cameo.
For the card base I used a piece of card stock that measured 4.5 X 12 inches . I scored the card at 4.5 inches and then used a perforated score line at 9 inches. This way I was able to make a bookmark that could be torn off and used by my granddaughter who loves to read. I used both my Cricut and my Cameo for this card! ( I love the sound of both machine just humming away at the same time! )

For the bookmark I used Kate's ABC and Recess Cricut cartridge for the cuts.
I found the poem on the Internet and just smiled when I saw it and said this is just perfect for Jan!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges.

Cameo Creations- Back to School
Fantabulous Cricut Challenges- Back to School
Exporing Cricut- back to School using the following colours, red, green, black, purple, yellow, orange, blue and brown.
Bitten by the Bug 2 _ Back to School
D.L. Arts Thankful Thursday- anything goes.

Visit from the Tooth Fairy!

Good Morning my Crafty Friends!
Wow, this has been a very busy week for me, no time or energy to craft. I am in the middle of getting a new floor in my scraproom so everything is spread from one end of the basement to the next. Every where you look all you see is stuff! What a big mess! I swear I have more supplies then Michael's.( I have a feeling I will be giving away some blog candy in the very near future!)

But I did take a few minutes out today and make this cute little sliding pop up card.

Instruction can be found over at Splitcoast Stampers to make this card.

I used the SVG file called Visit from the Tooth Fairy from Bear Hugs Arts and SCraps. (the file is on sale for 35% off making it $3.58 for the whole set!)
Here's a picture of the set!
I used Stampin Up carstock for the card and inked all the edges with Passionate pink ink. The verse was taken from the Internet.

I will be entering this card for this weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut. This weeks challenge is to make a project using a tooth, Tooth Fairy or smile.
As always thanks for stopping bye and have a great weekend.

Today I have another fun layout using Bear Hugs Art And Scraps "Clowning Around" SVG files featuring my 3 darling granddaughters and a bunch of my supplies!
Once again I used the sketch from this weeks challenge over at Lets Get Sketchy. I love there sketches and enjoy joining in the fun each week. I pretty much followed the sketch 100% this week.
I also found a new challenge blog called Card Galore's Scrapbook Challenge. This months challenge is to create a bright layout and it must include a picture.
The paper is by Momenta Cardstock called Family Occasions. The first bear is from Bear Hugs Art and Scraps Clowning Around.
This little guy is named Chuckles from Bear Hugs Art and Scraps. I added stickles to the buttons and pompom on the top of his hat.
The pictures were taken in 2007 of my 3 granddaughter just clowning around. I actually journal a little bit for this layout which I hate doing.
Next we have this weeks freebie that can be found at Bear Hugs Arts and Scraps

Bear Hugs Trick or Treat Costume Dogs and Lets Get SketchyChallenge.

Good morning my Crafty friends! Today I have a layout using Bear Hugs Trick or Treat Dogs in Costume file. When I first saw this set I was so excited because I had some darling pictures of our dog Buttons in a Pumpkin Costume that I thought would go perfect with a Halloween layout using these cute files from Bear Hugs Art and Scrap
I designed the layout using  this week sketch from  Lets Get Sketchy
The Poison title was cut from Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge at 2.75 with glitter paper.
I have added a lots of different odds and ends I picked up at Michael's last year after Halloween for a seal of a deal.
As I said earlier the dogs are from Bear Hugs Trick or Treat files and the fence is from Bear Hugs Garden Bears file.
Here is a close up of the Pirate dog and below is a closeup of the Pumpkin Dog.
Before I go just a reminder that Bear Hugs Art and Scrap is having a 50% off sale right now and when your there make sure you grab this weeks free file. As always thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
