Butterflies a Gift From Heaven.

I found a new blog called Dizzy Lizzys Creations the other day and she was telling the story about when her mother passed away from cancer and a beautiful butterfly appeared out of know where and landed on the spray of the flowers of her mothers coffin at the grave yard and then later that same day how more butterflies appeared in the back yard. This story touched my heart very deeply. I also lost my Mother to cancer and when I read her story it just gave me such a warm feeling. I know those butterflies were sent from heaven to say your mom is O.K...she is at peace now, and it is my turn to take care of her.

So I decide to make a card for here challenge and then sadly a dear friend of mine had a loss this week so I had to make it into a Sympathy card for her. I know she will love it and maybe the butterflys will help her.

The paper I used were scrap from K & Company. I used Serenade for the butterflies cutting them at 1.5 inches and 1 inch. I also used Stickles.

Boys Love Their Puddles!

This picture was taken in 2009 just outside of Gull Lake after a real big hail storm. This is Evan my sisters little grandson and she has passed the picture onto me, just hoping that the perfect challenge would come along and that I would scrap book it for her. Well Debby once again...you got your wish, I hope you like it!

The paper is from a paper pack by K & Company. Cricut Cartridges used were Paisley and Boys will Be Boys, I used a Embossing Folder called Wood grain which was sent to me all the way from Australia from Meridith Scraps a fellow blogger out of the goodness of her heart!

First Challenge is for Fantabulous Cricut #48: Emboss it.

Second one is Getting Cricky With K. Andrew: A-Z Project- use Letters

Next we have, Two Scraptastic Gals. Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge #7: use Paisley

and thanks to one of my comments I found another challenge.....Yippee!!

Sweet Chick!

Don't forget to enter my blog candy from CSN
I decided to start making my Easter Cards now, so maybe for once in my life, I can be ahead of the game.

When making the card, I had a few challenges in mind. I have to try and work as many challenges into one card as I can , since it takes me three days to make the silly thing!

The card is a Gate Fold which was very easy to do, but all the little extras are what takes me so long and then to think it will probably just get tossed into the garbage.

Cartridges used were both , Simply Charmed, and Easter. I used Cuttlebugs Branches and Bubbles embossing folders. Stamps were from Joys Life and My Pink Stamper.

I think I covered everything, except for the challenges I will enter.

Winner from Share the Love Cricut Crawl.

Well this has been one heck of a bad week! My fridge broke down after 21 years...can you imagine that? So any way we went out shopping to to buy a new one and of course hubby had to go to every store in Edmonton to make sure we got the best price. But finally we both agreed on one and paid for it and went home. Once we arrived home we started to wonder if the darn thing would fit so we call the store back and told them how much room we had and they said no problem! Anyway on Wednesday they delivered the new fridge, first they took the old one down to the basement for us and then they were going to bring the new one in but hubby went outside to measure it and guess what? It was to darn big so here I sit with my fridge in the basement waiting for those dumb idiots to deliver me a new fridge that will fit! Does any one know how many times you go in a fridge just to make one meal? Let me tell you I have never used my stairs this much ever. 13 stairs down 13 stairs up over and over! I guess if I look at the bright side of it all, I may lose a bit of weight this week!

So I guess I have babbled on enough and should get onto the good stuff!

I used Random.org

Bear Hugs! My Creative Time Throwback Thursday #162

Well it's time again for another challenge over at My Creative Time with Emma and I am so happy I was finally able to find some time to make a card for the challenge. This Throwback Thursday Challenge is to use either your Just Because Cartridge or your Wild Card Cartridge. Well I have both so.......

I decided on the heart from Wild Card which I cut at 6 inches. I inked around all the edges and used a black gel pen. I also cut a smaller heart out by hand for the sentiment.

The little bear is called Rose from BOSSKUT. Isn't she just the sweetest little bear ever? I also cut a small circle in the middle of the heart and added a plastic candy mold which I filled with tiny valentine candy's for my honey.

Well thats it for today, hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping in.

Hugs Jenny

Best Buds Forever!

If you are looking for the Fantabulous Share The Love Crawl please click
I just knew when Cricut released their cartridges last month....I just had to have this cartridge (Disney Classics)! I didn't care how much it cost, it was just one of those things I wanted it and that was all there was to it...it was going to be mine, no ifs or buts about it ! So just before I left for Florida I placed a order so it would be here waiting for me when I arrived home.
But first I had to do up a couple of projects for blog hops, unpack, clean house, visit the kids and friend and catch up on sleep and so my poor baby sat on my desk just crying to be used. Last night I finally said enough is enough and I ripped the package open and started to play.

I decided to make a step card so I could enter it into a challenge over at The Cuttlebug Spot and then made it into a Valentines card so I could also enter it into More Than Favors Wacky Wednesday Challenge.
Flower ( isn't she just the cutest thing ever) was cut at 3 inches and the heart wand was cut at 4 inches both from Disney Classics the flowers were cut at 2 inches using Serenade. The Best Buds forever were just rub-on. All the papers were just scraps from my scrap bucket.
Hope you all have a great weekend, stay safe!
Hugs Jenny

Stickles Holder and Winner From Nichole & Meighen's Birthday Bash

If you are looking for the Fantabulous Share The Love Crawl please click HERE!

To day I just wanted to share with you the wonderful gift my Dear Sweet Hubby just made me! I love my Stickles, but I am always cursing and swearing when they fall down off the shelf. I go to grab for a certain colour and 8 bottles with roll across the floor!

and then if that is not bad enough then you have to shake the heck out of them. I knew there had to be something out there that would work better, so I tried to explain to him the best I could and this is what he came up with. Oh he can be so BRILLIANT at times!

There is room for 45 bottles of Stickles.

This is the ribbon holder Alf made me last year, there are 97 rolls of ribbon on it and it hang just above my computer........and no..... I am not SPOILED!

Now onto the good stuff

But First!

I would like to thank Nichole and Meighen for inviting me to be part of there wonderful Birthday Bash. I really had so much fun!

Share The Love Crawl

Welcome to Jennys Scrapbooking Haven and the fourth Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...

Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!

This week I have been asked to be a guest designer, and let me tell you, I am just tickled pink!

Valentine's Day is just one week away and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to Share The Love! Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Valentine-themed project that includes the word LOVE somewhere on it.

If you've come from visiting Jennifer you're in the right place! If you just happened across, my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, please start HERE.

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for awesome inspiration! There will be Prizes along the way at some of the DT member's blogs, AND there will be a GRAND PRIZE up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a Share the Love project at FCCB

For my project today I decided to make a Valentine's Card for my Dear Sweet Hubby , of 40 years! The poor guy has stuck with me through all the good times and bad, just like in any good marriage!

I decide to make my first Tri-fold card and really enjoyed making it. I used Holidays Cakes Cartridge for all the cuts, cutting everything at 1.50 inches. As you can see I used a lot of Bling for both the front and back of the card. I also included some embossing using my good old Cuttlebug.

On the top of the card, it says LOVE is one word. Then on the bottom but so many memories, This is so true when you have been married for as long as me!

Since the Crawl is all about Love, I decide to stick with the Theme for my blog candy! One lucky person will win this great set of 4 Valentine's Embossing folders by Sizzix. Please leave a comment with a way to get in touch with you. (you must be a follower for a chance to win the candy)

Now it's your turn! Lets see your share the love projects! Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project and the word LOVE!

Next Stop is Jill's blog. Go see what she has in store for you today... And when you are done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Happy Crawling!

Nicole and Meighen's Birthday/Bloggerversary Bash!

Welcome to Nicole and Meighen's Birthday/ Bloggerversary Bash . Today you will be visiting some great blogs with some awesome inspiration on how to celebrate a holiday with a Birthday twist.
If you arrived here from Shannon blog you are on the right track. If you just happen to come here by chance you may wish to start at the beginning which is Meighen's blog.

For my Holiday project, I choice Mothers Day, my son Russell was born on Mothers Day 38 years ago. I still think of him as my sweet baby boy, but thank goodness he is old enough to understand that Mom and Dad just have to get away when we can. Once again last May, Alberta was hit with a major snow storm in May, we were so sick of winter that we decided to book a last minute trip to the Mayan Rivera for a week and once again it fell on my sons birthday. So hubby and I just laid back in the sun, drinking our Cerveza without a care in the world! And once again poor Russell was left to shovel the walks and babysit the dog!

I made a tropical themed Birthday Card for my son, just in case it happens again this year! and the layout is of the resort we stayed at in Mexico.

Cartridges used for the layout were
ZooBalloo
Life is a Beach
Serenade
George and Basic Shape

Blog Candy anyone???? Today I have a Stamp Set called Under The Stars from Close to my Heart. Please leave a comment and make sure you are a follower..... if you would like a chance to win.

Your next stop along the way is Christine Blog.

I would just like to take a moment and wish both Nicole and Meighen a very Happy Birthday, may all their dreams come true! Thank you both for letting me be part of your celebration! I had a great time making this project for the hop

Hugs

Jenny
