Four Challenges! Two page Summer Layout.

I love when I can take a two page layout and work it into a bunch of my favorite challenges! It does take a bit of thinking and planing to make it work, but I always love the finished project.

The first challenge is over at Fantabulous Cricut. This weeks challenge me Monday is "Remember Me", this could be a special person, time, anniversary or just a wonderful memory.

These pictures were taken in July of 2007, it was a beautiful hot summer day and hubby was at work and just out of the blue I decided it would be a good day for a picnic. So I called my daughter in law to see if it would be O.K for me to take the kids for a few hours. I packed up a lunch and went and picked the kids up and took them to a neighbor hood water park. It was a lovely day and we laid the blanket out and went and played for a while, when we came back to the blanket the pigeons were eating the kids lunch right through the baggies! We still managed to have a wonderful time! and all had a good laugh over the silly birds!

The next challenge is another favorite of mine. Whimisical Wednesday, there challenge this week create a tag and add some bling!

The next is Bug Bites Grillin and Chillin Bug hop challenge. If you have not done this hop you should, there is so much wonderful talent to inspire you and then a super fun challenge at the end. Create a project with at least one cricut cut and one of the hidden bug which can be found a long the hop.

For this layout I was able to use up some of my old stash, which is a bonus! My cricut cut is the darling Caterpillar border which was cut at 2 inches from A Walk in My Garden.

I add a few fun buttons to bring in the summer theme a little bit better. These cute pictures are of my Grand daughter Jasmine. She is just so funny. All those really cute water things to run through and she found a pop bottle and played in a puddle. Gotta love them!

For the last challenge, I found another really cool blog hop with many talented ladies, It was the Summer Fun Blog Hop and can be found over at Blessed on the Bright Side you should check it out, once again there was tons of many wonderful summer layout, cards and projects along the way! At the end of this hop there was a challenge for you to create a summer project!
Thank you for stopping by my blog. Hope you enjoyed yourself, have a wonderful week.

My Craft Spots Mondays Challenge #10: Cute Critters!

It's time for another fun challenge over at My Craft Spot. This weeks challenge is:

Cute Critters!

I think my Granddaughter Jasmine is a cutie and I also thought this would be the perfect picture for this challenge! If you look in the background of the picture, you will see many cute little critters in one of my many flower beds.
Yes! I have a addiction to garden ornaments, which is just about as bad as my Scrap booking addiction!

The matting and background papers are both from Bo Bunny. The Birds and Branches are a SVG File which I picked up for a couple of bucks a few months back, but I will be darned if I can remember which blog I purchased it from. ( Who says I am getting old! )

If anyone knows who created this daring file please let me know so credit can be given where it belongs.

I picked up the flowers and charms from the Buck or Two Store. Then a used button brads for the center of the flowers.

I cut the tag at 4 inches from Tags Bags and More Cricut Cartridge. I inked all the edges, then added some ribbon and twine.
I used Sweet Sentiments #2 ( which you can purchase at My Craft Spot )

Now it is your turn to see what you can come up with for this weeks challenge! Head on over to My Craft Spot and check out the other girls amazing projects! This weeks prize: All 11 Brand New Colours of Baker Twine from the Twinery!

While you are looking for the critters, be sure to check out the blog candy that each designer has to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!

For my project I decided to make a two page layout, from one of the many summer gathering we had last year.

When I was in Florida in January I was able to pick up the Cricut Cartridge Block Party for a really good price. Most of the cuts for this layouts were cut from it.

The beer tub was cut from Country life the ovals were from George and Basic Shapes.

The bottles and ants are both brads ( which will be part of the blog candy)

I used my Cri-Kits Gel pen, and also inked the edges.

The beach ball is from Life a Beach and I added glitter.

Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #7: Friends Forever!

This weeks challenge at Whimsical Wednesday is Back to Basic! Make a cricutless card or project! and include something old school. I used printed images which I cut out and then pop up using pop ups for dimension. I think I picked this up about 8 years ago at one of the Scrap Booking Stores and I forgot I even had it.

I had these great photos of my grand kids from my Hubby's Birthday from a couple of years ago and decided it was time to get them scrapped. These are my sons four children.

The papers was a deal I picked up at Costco many moons ago and I think I could live to be 110 and never even make a dint in the box.

I do love Costco!

I did a bit of paper tearing and chalking to finish the edges off, added a few brads and then found the sayings on the computer and just printed them off.

I love that saying Sisters by chance Friends forever........but I should tell you that little guy is my grandson with those big beautiful eyes.

As always thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
