Accordion File folder: Thanksgiving Countdown Checklist

This week the Design Team for Cricut Mini Albums were asked to make a mini album for Thanksgiving. Well to tell you the truth I am pretty sick of it by now. I live in Canada so we celebrate Thanksgiving at the beginning of October. Of course I had to clean the house, do the cooking, do the shopping so we could eat and then after everyone had left, it was time to do the dishes and clean the house! Ever year it is the same thing, for once I would like to get up and just go to someone else's house for a change. LOL.

So I decided to make a Accordion File Folder with a Thanksgiving Checklist and give it to my daughter in law as a gift so she can do Thanksgiving next year! Don't you think this is a great ideal? This way my house will stay clean and I can sit back and drink the wine and enjoy the kids and the food and still have the energy to come home and scrapbook!

You can find the instruction for this folder over at Splitcoast Stamper. It was very easy to do, and I love the fall colours I picked for it.

The tags were cut from Tags Bags and More, and the labels were from Storybook.
I am going to enter this into the challenge over at The Beary Scrap Design Team & Challenge Blog challenge #14: anything goes!
Hope you enjoy, thanks for stopping by.

Now I can start to get ready for Christmas, one tree up two more to go.

Gobble! Gobble!.... Thankful I am not the Turkey!

Today I have two darling cards. Once a month Scrappy Jak sends us the card of the month kit, she supplies all the ribbon and paper and pays for the shipping cost herself. In return all she ask, is that we post them on a certain date for all to see. I look forward to my monthly card kits. You can find her on Facebook....All our welcome.

I have decided to also enter the cards in a couple of challenges. The first challenge is over at Fantabulous Cricut, there challenge make something you are thankful for...well i am darn glad I am not a Turkey that's for sure!

The next challenge is for More Than Favors by Paula, her challenge#16 is to make a Fall/Thanksgiving theme project.

I Love Snow... Not!...Throwback Thursday Cricutless Challenge!

Emma over at My Creative Time is having a Cricutless challenge this time, so I thought I would make a card for the challenge.

OMG! It was a challenge not to use my cricut, I made a few cards before I came up with something that I like enough to put on my blog. Boy how I forgot how plan everything was before I had my cricut.

The snowman is a cute chipboard sticker that I picked up at the dollar store. So really there is not to much to say about the card. Paper was from way back when, ribbon, corner punch and a bit of bling. Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping in.

Etched Hot Chocolate Mugs and Coco Sleeves

I picked up these cup at the Dollar Store a while back and have been going to etch the grandchildren names in them, but I have been really scared to try, but when I seen the challenge over at Crafting With Cristina I knew it was now or never!

I wasted so much vinyl last night, but what the heck, I did learn what not to do and I do like the way the cups turned out. Two down and four more to go.

Christina Companion Challenge #11 : Gift Coco: so I made the cups and then I made the coco sleeves to go with them. I followed her video instructions, which were very good.

I used the following cartridges:
Storybook, for the font on the cups.
Create a Critter, for the deer
Winter Frolic, for the child on the sled
Its Cold Outside, for the snow flakes.

First cup is for Miss Katie

The next one is for Jan, you would think with only three letters I could of gotten this one straight! LOL!
Have a great night and thanks for stopping bye.

Get Well Soon: Fantabulous Challenge # 36 Achoo!

I made this card for this weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut

Challenge #36: Achoo! I decided to make a easel card, I love these card they are just so fun. I used my Easter Cartridge for the darling little sheep, cutting one at 3 inches and the other at 2.50 inches.
It was the first time using this cartridge and I think I would do things a bit different next time, but it is all a leaning experience with the solution cartridges for me. I used my PKS for the faces.
Added a couple of brads, a bow and a sentiment and just like that I was done!

Look What Meredith"s Scraps Sent Me!

I love my mail lady when she brings me parcel and today just happened to be one of those days. I received this beautiful card and wood grain embossing folder from a fellow blogger Meredith from Meredith's Scraps
I had left a comment one day asking her where she had gotten the wood grain folder and she was kind enough to send me a email with the information, she had got it online from a store in Australia. So I email them to see if they would ship to Canada and before they could even answer Meredith had emailed me back and said she had picked one up for me!

I could not believe a complete stranger could be so kind and do this for me. My hubby asks me how I can spend so much time scrapbooking and blogging...... and this is why, because of beautiful friendly people like her. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you have made me a very happy lady.

Cricut Mini Albums: Home Cookin'

Today is another challenge for the Design Team at Cricut Mini Albums

this weeks challenge is to make a mini Recipe Book.

I wish my pictures had turned out better, but it was a very deary day here in Canada.

I used both Country Life and From My Kitchen for all the Cricut cuts, I love both of these cartridges! Heck I love all my cartridges.

I found the recipe cards on the Internet for free and just printed them out on a cream colour
card stock and slipped them into the pocket.

I used Stickles to jazz up some of the cuts.

and of course I can not forget my faithful gel pen! LOL! I think it just adds that extra great detail, that I love to put into my projects.

I also used my Swiss Dots embossing folder for a few of the items, and added a couple of brads buttons to the gingerbread man.

On the last page, I welded the cheese and the saying together, with my Gypsy. Every day I say to my hubby " Have I told you just how much I love my Gypsy?" He just shakes his head. This is a standing joke between the two of us. He gave me the Gypsy for our 40th Wedding Anniversary just a couple of weeks ago and I had so much trouble with the registration and just everything in general, I was ready to scream, well maybe I did that two! But it just about cause a divorce for the first couple of days. Oh well , when all is said and done, I love both my hubby and my Gypsy!

So that's it for another Mini Album. Hope you enjoy and make sure you check out the Cricut Mini albums blog for the other Design Team member great Mini's. They are a wonderful bunch of gals with terrific ideals.
