Super Tweet Wishes!

Good morning all my crafty friends! Today it is my turn to post a project for Joy's Life Design Team.
It is so nice to see that Spring has finally arrived!
Today it is raining so I thought this little bird would be just perfect for my card.
The Silhouette Store is having a half price sale , so of course I had to go check it out. This is just one of the darning SVG I picked. up.
The sentiment is from Joys' Life "Punny Animals"
I used three different Joy Life's stamp sets for the inside of the card.
"Everyday Occasions"
"Holiday Occasions"
and" Punny Animals."
I was on a real roll so I thought I would make a envelope to match. This sentiment is from Joys Life "All around Occasions." I popped it up on a action wobble for something different.

Say Cheese! Disney Hollywood Studios Layout.

Good Morning all my Crafty friends! Once again it is Monday and my turn to post a project over at Joy's Life Design Team Blog.
Today I decided it was time to get back working on my Disney Album from 2011
and it just so happened that Joy's Life.com had the perfect stamp to go along with my Disney layout!
"Say Cheese "
Is from Joy's Life new release called "That Tastes Punny"
The first page of my layout is the entrance to the park.
and since this park is called Disney Hollywood Studios, I went with a movie theme.
The film strip was cut from Mickey and Friends Cricut cartridge at 4 inches.
The rest of the cuts are SVG from KaDoodle Bug Designs  "Movie Star Dog"( which sadly to say is no longer available)
The Disney title is my first attempt at using the cut and print feature on my Cameo.
I finished the layout with finishing touches of Faux Stitching and Button Brads.
I hope you enjoyed today's project, I do have the second page to this layout finished, but I am waiting for the wind to stop blowing and the sun to come out to take pictures to share with you.
As always thanks for stopping bye!

Heard You Caught A Bug!

Wow! I just found a new challenge blog called Hiding in My Craft Room, so of course I just had to play along!

This weeks Super Scraps Saturday challenge is to make a project using some of your scraps. This will be a very easy challenge for me, since I do not throw any paper away that measure less then 2 inches by 2 inches.
So for my first card I decided to make a get well card. I had this paper left over from a Scrap book I made 6 years ago for the Medical Clinic I worked at. LOL! (I told you I never throw anything away.)

I decided to add a tongue depression to the card and then stamp it with my new set of Stamps from Joys Life " Punny Animals".

I then added a couple of bug buttons I bit of twine and a buttons to finish it off.
I love the way this card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Vintage Picture In A Mason Jar! " We"re a DYNAMIC DUO!

Hello my Crafty Friends and Happy Monday.
Today I have a really cool project to share with you. This week the  Design Team over at Joy's Life were asked to use a recycled item on their projects. I really had no ideal what I was going to do until I came across this wonderful project while searching the Internet using old Mason Jars over at  Suzy Sit Com

( my sister Debby and myself when we were much much younger!)
It has been a while since I did anything different when it comes to crafting so I thought this would be a fun project to try.

The first thing I had to do was go over to my sisters Facebook page and grab a copy of this photo of my big sister and myself .
I don't know if you would consider the picture vintage but let me tell you it is pretty darn old! When I called Debby and asked her about the photo she was able to narrowed it down to about 57 years old. She said it was taken on St. France Street.in Fort William Ontario, before we moved to Edmonton in 1956. Debby is the oldest and if you look really careful at the picture you can see the big pout on her face! ( guess she could get some use out of the stamp I used in last weeks project! LOL!)
Anyway enough about us...lets get on with the project!
The first step was to insert the picture into the old mason jar (this is the front of the mason jar)
( a shot of the back with all the pretty flowers)
then a few flowers in behind the photo to fill the empty space. Next step was to add the vegetable oil to cover it completely, now put on the lid and tighten it up good so it does not leak. ( The vegetable oil will suspend the picture and flowers without penetrating them.)

This was all there was to the project over at Suzy's Sit Com but I decided to kick it up a notch or two!
I went into my stash and pulled out a bunch of things that might make it look really good and pretty, this included some more flowers, cream lace, pearls, crinkled ribbon and a butterfly . Now it was time to picked out my sentiment for the tag.

The tag is very simple but the sentiment says it all.
we're a DYNAMIC DUO
Yes this is my big Sis and Me........a  Dynamic Duo!
From Joy's Life.com
"My Hero"
This is just one of the three new sets, just newly released! So head on over to Joy's Life.com Products and check them out!.

For the top of the jar I used a Spellbinder to cut the circle using Kraft Journal Card Stock and then ran it through the cuttlebug to emboss it, from there I added a pretty bow, flower and the butterfly.
I hope you enjoyed today's project. I also hope that I just might have inspired you to try one of these Vintage Frame Mason Jars. They are truly beautiful and I can think of a thousand different places and occasions that they would look great.
As always thanks for stopping bye.

Sorry I was Snappy!

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Today I have a quick card to share with you using one of the  new stamp sets that were just released over at JOY'S LIFE.com
This adorable saying is from the new Joy's Life "Punny Animals" stamp set.
When I first saw this stamp I thought how does Joy know that I have become such a cranky old lady in my old age. I swear this one was make for me!
Here a bit  closer shot of the sentiment. Isn't it sweet?
I used  "Crocs Rule" Cricut cartridge for both the waves and the crocodile  I didn't like the fish that came with the cartridge so I just added a brad from my stash.
I then decided to add a bit of glitter to the card and used some stickles along the wave edges and added a pretty ribbon to finish off the card.
So that's it for today's post for Joys Life Design Team. Now all I have to do is decide who gets this card........my sister, my hubby the guy at the post office....the list goes on and on! LOL!
Maybe I should of make a Bakers Dozen of this one!
Have a super great week and please let me know what you think!

When it Rains It Pours!

Hello and Happy Friday!
Hope this post finds everyone well and enjoying there Spring weather. When I woke up this morning and went to let the dog out I decided I there was no way in hell I was going to leave this house! Last night we had freezing rain and today it is snowing like crazy. So what better time to put on a pair of sweat pants and have a lazy day just crafting.
Today's card started out with this months sketch from Die Cuttin Diva's.
I turned the sketch sideways and used the umbrella and puddle for the side dots on the sketch.
Using some paper from the Paper Loft I decided to make the card 4.5 by 6 inches.
I also wanted to join in on a few other challenge so I put on my thinking cap and this is the card I came up with.

I used three different Cricut cartridges for the card:
Paper Doll Teen Scene
Lacy Labels
Create a Critter.
The stamp is from My Craft Spot - Friends and Neighbors - Inside and Out stamp set.

As always thanks for stopping bye, have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday! and Winner from Joys Life Blog Hop!

Hello to all my Crafty friends and Family!
I hope this post finds you all well and that you had a lovely Easter with your family and friends. I know we sure did, lots of good food and even better company!
Not only is today April Fools, but it my turn for today's post for Joys Life Design Team. For my post today I decided to make another Birthday card to try and build up my stash.
I love the way this card turned out, it is so much prettier in real life. I could not get my camera to catch the beauty of the paper.
This card measures 5X5. It is made from a pretty black and white glitter card stock by Colorbok. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border and some pretty black crinkled ribbon for the bow. I also cut out a swirly circle with my cameo and then added a stamp from Joys Life All Around Sentiments which I  placed on top of a action wobble. The white pearls were made from liquid pearl which I am still trying to master. LOL!
Well if you stayed with me this long I do have a winner from Joys Life Blog Inspire me Blog Hop to announce.
I had 22 lovely people drop by and visit and leave a comment. I do thank each and everyone of you. But enough with my chatting...........
Drum roll
 Please!!!!!
The lucky winner is #8.
